I love seeing the pictures of the fabulous knitting and crochet creations. Used to do knitting when I was younger I was given a crochet kit for Christmas I keep looking at it but not yet ventured to make a start.

Will be starting new picture in my colouring book this evening, it's great and unexpectedly joyful to do.

Hi Wolfie - not long until Saturday and you have Millie to visit - what breed is she?

AFB you ought to get your crochet kit out; just the thing for when it's blowing a gale outside and you can sit inside all warm and cosy! Between that and colouring you'll be well away.

Kids squabbling a bit now; will have to feed them soon I suppose. I've had a sudden burst of energy and done everything apart from windows etc and half hour knitting which I suppose I'll just have to do later! Debating whether to do an online application for more work; will have to do a speed test etc but I know I although I'm not 100wpm now I'm certainly more than 70. Hmmm, decisions decisions.

We've had a calm, sunny day here but it's very cold. Hope you all staying safe and warm with those awful winds and rain forecast for the south and west today.

Lovely poncho, looks soo warm and snuggly. Gorgeous scarf - the shape and colours are absolutely beautiful. What a clever pair you are :)

After looking at my list I realised that some of those jobs didn't really need doing.

But I have made 2 chicken and veg pies, 2 Apple turnovers (to use up leftover pastry), tidied up kitchen and sorted out the utility room (it was a complete tip) and even washed the floor.

I also rang up about ds1s hudl. (It has stopped charging!) they tried to trouble shoot over the phone but no luck so they are picking it up on Wednesday. Fingers crossed they can sort it.

I will do some ironing but that is about it I think!

Thanks Mumof2 if the weather is the same tomorrow I shall put the 'fire' on to help feel more cosy too (Netflix have 'the fireplace' available it's brilliant - sit in front of a lovely log fire without any of the mess!) may see about the crochet then :)

Have a good evening everyone, stay warm and safe.

Another update - if it's gone, it's done

    - Marzipan cakes
    - Old Wives' Group for me this evening - that will be my "Me" time

I didn't manage to marzipan the cakes because I began to develop a migraine, so I had to spend the afternoon sleeping it off :( but I'm feeling considerably better now :o Hopefully I can get the cakes done tomorrow afternoon instead.

LW, of course brushing the princesses counted as creative "Me" time if it made you happy :)
  • OK I know playing fetch with the dog isnt a creative pass time but its a great de-stresser. There is something about the way he runs with the ball that makes me laugh and anyone who thinks dogs dont smile is so wrong. All I have to do is sit at one end of the hall with a pile of biscuits and keep lobbing the ball and yelling fetch in an excited voice.

I am done for the day. Watching a bit of telly then bed. Feel like I have achieved a lot today.

Wonder how CY and Skinty are doing?
