Doing a bit of patchwork as my hhc I'm on the home straights with the squares, just got the mammoth task of putting it all together and doing the hand quilting then.
I found a free pattern for those too..

I'm showered, dressed, got a load of washing in, sorted out (hopefully) another laptop for the kids to use and ...... um, having a cup of coffee. Not a brilliant start but hey at least I'm not in my PJs. Think I'm pacing myself.
Pigpen love the Mermaid Tail, I've never seen them before but they look fab.
Frizzle enjoy your quiet day as I have a feeling you won't get many more of them soon
Ionafan I'm always in awe of your lists - they make me feel like a lazy slob!Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -
Marvellous Monday Mayhem! ~ Living Room, Hall and Stairs
Level 1
Vacuum through the living room, hall and stairs
Most important of todays tasks.. HH-knitting or whatever delightful creative pass time you choose!
Level 2
[STRIKE]Dusting, even if around everything [/STRIKE]Had a bit of a false start as my dusting tool seemed to be adding more dust than taking it away. It is one of those that looks like some spongy sea creature with tentacles.....it is now soaking in Stardrops.
[STRIKE]Remove clutter making sure stairs especially are safe[/STRIKE]
Clean windows and [STRIKE]all glass.. including the tv screen[/STRIKE]
Pounce upon the piles of coats and shoes and fling the ones that are no longer worn/needed/fit/wearable
Level 3
[STRIKE]Wipe and water plants[/STRIKE] I had to laugh Jazee, this was the one you picked first as well! I've just hopefully got rid of the final bit of glitter from Xmas. A friend gave me a 'glittered' chrysanthemum. I've just pruned it a great deal and put it outside so the remaining glitter will blow away in the hoolie. I will bring it inside later, I'm not that heartless.
Put all your hotspots in one pile and work your way through it..
Vacuum under furniture you can manage to move without hurting yourself
Also 1 load of washing done, think will be an indoor drying job as it is so windy I think I'd be chasing it to Cambridge if I hung it outside.
Report checked and emailed. Paperwork from it put in binder and filed.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -

Mumof2, my lists are frequently more "what I'd like to achieve" than "What I expect to be able to achieve", and they often include one-minute jobs which I list so that I don't forget them (like getting the mince out of the freezer) but I do seem to have made a reasonable start this morning.
DH has hoovered the utility and front and back lobbies which were full of dried mud - mostly from his shoes and boots rather than mine! Does anyone else have menfolk who walk across muddy grass rather than taking the slightly longer but much much drier route round the path?
Just slurping a :coffee: before I brave the wind and rain and go to the surgery and local shops. First, though, I must check the fridge for current levels of F&V and look in the top cupboard to see whether I've got any unused cake boards that will save me a few pennies today, and also put a load in the WM.
See you later...0 -

Afternoon all
Hugs, sticks, spoons, and vibes.
I'm going to be in but I'll be flying more towards the end of the week. AF is here and draining me of all my energy again, I also have lots of paid stuff to do and parents evening tomorrow.
So far today dailies are done upstairs, bathroom is clean except the floor (DD vacuumed it yesterday but it needs mopping), Zack has been walked, I've poured neat bleach into the now empty wheelie bins, scrubbed the yard with bleach water, then poured the neat bleach from the bins out. Yard and bins are now being rinsed in the rainZack is flitting between wanting to play catch/fetch and dozing.
Plan for this afternoon is to put a zip in my upcycled bag I've spent the weekend working on. I took 2 pairs of old jeans which I'd turned into aprons which weren't working (they were too big and kept slipping down) and I turned them into a bag to hold my knittingIts taken so long as I'm stitching it by hand and after a while my fingers start to hurt so I need to take a break and do something else. I've got to run to the local school to pick up the av0n books from there and I think instead of the planned sweet & sour chicken for tea we're going to have pasta bake. I really want melted creamy cheesy goodness

Glad the cat is settling in so well Kaz!
Kids still in PJs - not going to bother getting them to get dressed. I am going to have to nip out as will run out of milk if I'm not careful and I do NOT want that.
Just about to get out the vacuum cleaner and do in here, stairs and hallway. I have dusted, put away lots of gibble, found more stuff to declutter to CS/recycling/bin as part of my decluttering challenge. Easy peasy tea tonight - chicken korma and rice (from a tin) but that's OK. Once I've done more tidying, got more milk and checked chooks going to sit for half an hour and knit. See, that's one instruction I can follow!Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0
