Ahem..... I say, Small Frizzle, would you mind putting in an appearance in timely fashion please? Your Mum doesn't want a load of extra poking. Thanks awfully.

    *snigger*

I have started on the box of 'stuff it in here and sort it out later' paperwork, mainly receipts. Some have been flung; some have been put for shredding, some need dealing with, some have been filed.

I have also ironed the bedding I line dried on saturday, 'tis now airing on the maiden as it wasn't bone dry.

Grateful for news of absent flyladies. TYVM

Got to work bright and early to be questioned as to why I was there...boss had forgotten why I was in, but a lovely day with a super class - I get another super class for the whole day Friday and then 'my' class all day Wednesday (I have worked with this class for over 2 years now).

I left early though and picked up prescription; went to bank and popped into M&S but only got fancy bread (Y/S) well I sayt early - wasn't that early really! On Friday I stayed, along with another colleague, to help out Y5 teacher put up a display -it's a PITA job if you're up & down on your own. We were there until almost 7 so I figure I am entitled to be 'on the blocks' sometimes!
And I made a banana cake yesterday so I took that in...I was VERY popular:rotfl::rotfl:

Morning all. Hope you're all ok this fine morning (its still dark, I'm hopeful it is fine) and that baby Frizzle makes an appearance soon.

Bedroom flying for me this morning and a look at the list. I got more done in the three hours before paid stuff yesterday than I did in the whole of last week.

    Have a great day everyone.

  • Morning everyone

Woke up at 5.30 thinking about paid stuff and DS so I got up and have checked my online banking, paid some bills and wasted a bit of time browsing about on t'internet.

So its shower, breakfast, packed lunch then work for me. DS2 has got up saying that he is dying - to be fair he does look a bit pale but who knows?

No idea what time I will finish work but the kitchen floor is filthy and I have to keep on top of stuff this week so will try and do that later.

Have a good Tuesday everyone x

Oh and get a move on baby F!!!

    Morning all
Good to read you are home dizzy
CY sending rest and recovery vibes to you
Safe arrival vibes for Small frizzle and mum.

Just got to shift the lads then I'll make a start.
Phoned Drs yesterday for an appt (got nagged into it by Dh) I've had harmless cysts before so not unduly worried but have had a lump for over a month now that isn't showing any sign of shifting of its own accord. No appts available at all unless it's an emergency. Told receptionist what it was for so she's generously offered me a telephone consultation next week. I'm sure the dr will be able to diagnose that it's a safe to be ignored lump over the phone. Not that I wanted prodding but I thought I'd get to see a dr to give me a proper check over.

Off for coffee and to push boys out of door.
    Have a good day all.

Mrs-MP always good to get these things checked out isn't it.

Yorkshirelass sounds like you had a productive start to the day. Sometimes I wake early with my head spinning so just get on up and get going; better than staying in bed feeling stressed.

Jazee it gives you a good feeling to get going with things doesn't it. I'm finding it hard to just get on and do things - maybe you could send me some of your get up and go?!!

Valli you've been busy - oh, and if you ever need anyone to quality test your banana cake just let me know ;)

Frizzle hope your midwife appointment goes well but so hope you don't get pushed down the induction route. Baby F will come when she's ready!

Going to get the kids out somewhere today. Got Mr M delivery at 9 so need to wipe the fridge out beforehand. I suppose I ought to get changed out of my Minions PJs really then unload DW and do some work in the kitchen. I've got the WM on and doing some of Z's PE kit; trying to do a load a day and hope it dries as don't have a TD. Mornings are definitely my best time of the day so am really going to try to get myself motivated and actually do stuff instead of going on the internet and other distracting things.

Oh, and here's a picture you may like - this is Whiz resting his head on a cushion (my face); never mind the fact part of my head is on slate!! Bless him :A

Morning all. Blue sky here this morning and the wind has died down. I am hoping that my migraine has blown away with it. Managed to get to the Old Wives' meeting yesterday evening (very interesting talk by a brilliant young gardener), and this morning we have SW, then I'm going for coffee with a friend, so I shall post my list later.

Sadly, doctors' receptionists often seem to develop an uncaring attitude. Mrs-mp, I think you should ring again today and ask again for an appointment with a Dr. Point out to them that the Dr can hardly expect to know what's wrong without seeing you in person - and any lump needs the earliest possible investigation.

Sitting here in front of the window, I have been watching the greater spotted woodpecker on the trees in the lane behind the house, but my eye has also been caught by a much bigger bird swooping from one fencepost to another in the open paddocks beyond the trees. It has also landed on the ground a few times. From here it looks brown, big and heavy - at least twice the size of the rooks, and I would guess the size of an eagle owl. Unfortunately I haven't got my binoculars up here, and anyway the trees get in the way and I only get odd glimpses of it. An escapee from the local falconry and owl centre, maybe? It doesn't seem to be in a hurry to move on atm. Intriguing!

Must get ready to go out now.

(((Hugs))) spoons and sticks all round, as needed x
Hope Baby Frizzle starts moving a bit faster today - maybe a *gentle* examination will be all it takes to get her going.

mrs mp - ionafan is right. The GP will probably tell you to come in anyway. And receptionists should know they are supposed to treat lumps as emergencies. tBH most GPs refer you to the breast clinic anyway, as they can't tell by feeling (and the consultant told me that he be pretty sure 60% of the time but generally prefers to have an ultrasound or mammogram to validate his diagnosis. He was also very clear that he'd rather see people and give them the all clear than have them wait until it was too late and there was very little he could do to help.

Me again. Bedroom all done and bedding in WM. Hoovered quickly through, walked dogs and from today's list washed the kitchen bin.

Sorry Mumto2 but I'm keeping all my GUAG today. I've had a cold since the weekend but with a night out last night and again tonight I'm telling it to go away.

    Catch you all later.
