I contacted loads of companies - mostly local. Boots were very helpful and a local gym. Hotel chocolate were very generous and a couple of local restaurants too.
It's hard work and you'll get a lot of "sorry" but you will get "yes" too.
I used letters and emails. Facebook/Twitter weren't as good back then as they are now so they might be some use to you too
Thank you I will try hotel chocolate. I think I might have put a black mark against my name for Boots after the fiasco at Christmas0 -
Woken early by Mum ringing about mens pads that go in plastic pants:o:o
Was given a task of finding certain ones - any way I was completely lost as there are so many shapes, sizes, companies etc
So got Mum to ring District Nurses & they recommend buying them from S4insburys as cheapest :T:T
So I can retire from that taskOur Family Motto ~If all else fails - read the instructions...

In Ts yesterday was lots of RTC laundry products. Things like Vanish, Ambiance Lavender liquid washing (£1.50 for 21 washes)
The best buy for me was Dylon Wash & Dye at £2.50 - bought 4 as normally pay £5 each.
I now have a black dye wash on the go - changing my fading to grey black garments back to black
I love dying clothes in the machine - so easy peasyOur Family Motto ~If all else fails - read the instructions...

I put my black jeans and t shirts in with the black die about twice a year to freshen them up
I buy mine from Home Bargains but not all of them stock it“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

This is art stuff, he is an "aspiring artist" but has never put paintbrush to canvass, he has now decided he desperately needs the stuff in sight just in case he has chance.
He will never have chance, at the weekend he is either working, draped out in front of sports programs, or asleep on the sofa as a prelude to complaining he cannot sleep that night.
Admittedly we normally manage a walk on Sunday mornings, but he hates going anywhere else as he never has "time".
Your OH is far worse than mine. He really needs to go and sleep in the spare room with all of his stuff and you can have a calm serene and tranquil organised bedroom :rotfl:
I went and I had a look at my OHs mess and all it consists of is 2 shirts, 3 pairs of trousers and what he calls his lounge suit (joggers, don't ask, its very embarrassing) I was staggered. I actually think we have made progress - it might have taken 3 decades but this is def progress.
He is always going to have issues with opening his wardrobe door, his bedside table mess and the sock wars will continue but otherwise I finally seem to have got through to him :j“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove.
