Enterprise_1701C wrote: »As for your OH mhoc, I have a similar but not quite so extreme problem. I have to keep tidying the bedroom as OH seems to like leaving his clothes in piles on the floor or on top of other things, so I have to go through it all and get rid of things that have not seen the light of day for months, such as boxes and empty envelopes etc! This time I cleared the clothes off his shoe rack and put his shoes on it, that evening his clothes are back on it and the shoes back on the floor
Don't even get me started on OH and his lack of wiliness to sort his clothes out.
He will wail about his lack of wardrobe but actually he has a floor to ceiling wardrobe with 2 rails and 2 shelves if he wanted to use it.
a while back I did help him empty his wardrobe out, cull the shirts that were threadbare or too small and then every thing went back in, colours together, sorted into long and short sleeves, formal shirts, jackets etc. Needless to say its back to the same shambles as ever and he just shoves things in when I get fed up of the wall of shirts.
I've got a drying rail at the top of the stairs and his shirts go on hangers and are put on the rail and they dry overnight. There they stay as OH wont put them in the wardrobe as its easier for him just to get a shirt from there. This of course means that the same dozen shirts are worn all of the time and will wear out sooner whilst others languish in the wardrobe unworn as its too much of an effort to open the door of the wardrobe.
They stay on the rail until I get fed up of them being there or visitors are looming or there are so many you have to fight your way through a wall of shirts
He wears shirts for work and another when he gets back from work and changes them every few days. So in theory it should be an easy thing to keep in order, bringing the shirts down for washing every day or other day. Needless to say they loiter behind the bedroom door and the day after I do a whites and light wash they all get dumped in the bathroom (in the bath as its easier than lifting the lid of the washbin) -
After Christmas he took to draping his stuff over a set of opened out steps that were behind the bedroom door, over them, around them and on the floor underneath. I tolerated this for a while to see how long he would do this but we had visitors at the end of January and I needed the steps so they were removed. I did say to him this was not normal to use steps as a clothes dump
So he did sort the mess out but the steps went back behind the door flattened afterwards and again his stuff is draped over them.
Every time I need to get to the wardrobe in the alcove the steps and their contents get moved into the middle of the bedroom floor but I don't think he gets the message.
so he has a mess lurking behind the bedroom door and another piled on the end of the drawers at the end of the bed but I shift that pile regularly. His boots and trainers have always loitered in a dust gathering heap under the bed but I made a space in his wardrobe and dumped a pile of them there. The trouble is he does not go in the wardrobe as it means opening a door so these boots and trainers he will probably forget about now.
I quite like shirt washing but I do object to letting the dirty ones pile up on the floor and not putting washing in the wash bin once or twice a day
I have long ago realised things will always be the same and he will never change so mostly I shut my eyes to it all apart from the ugly sock and underwear parade which is an on going battle“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

I'd like to make a public apology to wackynut for my awful post to her last week. It was uncalled for and I should never have said what I did, so wacky, I'm sorry.
Unfortunately, having been lucky enough to find one or two glitches over the last few years, all this N1LDA stuff makes it feel like I am being pensioned off as old school and I don't like it..:o:o
However, I am still the same old SFSB and plan to be around having fun with the elite for a long time to come..:):)
just read this post and although i didnt read what you had said to
wackynut last week i think your public apology is a sign of a
the character you are and glad that you have had the decency to
reflect and put it to rights ...sign of a good man :beer:
Wackynut thanks for all the hard work you put into the thread :T:T
i have to go now but will read back on this when i get home:)0 -
You're right, it's disappeared for me now. That's what happened to me last week with some of the offers N1LDA posted. There are 2 different mb running on some of the trop, 2for£3.50 and 2for£4.
So it would depend on what is bought to whether the mb offer would be triggered.
For example, if you buy Tropicana Essentials Multivitamins 12 Fruits and Innocent Apple & Mango Juice Blend, I don't think the mb will kick in.
However, if you bought 2x Tropicana Essentials Multivitamins 12 Fruits, I think the mb would kick in.
Afraid I haven't got time this morning to see if there are any good comps for what may glitch as taking dd2 to the cinema in a bit.
Yes two multis running, so it looks like a change of the multi price.
View all2 for£4
850ML
Tropicana Orange Creations Orange & Mango
£2.40
850ml
2 FOR £3.50 Tropicana Orange Creations Orange & Mango £2.40
This happened last week with some of the old el paso items on multi. Perhaps this is what you are referring to blacklist.
If I remember correctly, they didn't glitch.:(N1LDA:D0 -
Lizzie I think IKEA is like Marmite ...you either love it :A or hate it
It was quite a long time ago Nanny but all I remember were so many crowds and having to follow the carpet line. It didn't really suit my style of shopping as I'm not a "spur of the moment shopper" and going back was just too difficult.
Didn't actually buy anything as got so exasperated just wanted to leave:eek:
I might have gone back except that its a long way to our nearest store and I've never wanted anything enough to risk it again!!0 -
Well mhoc, OH is now complaining about the stuff I have removed from the bedroom. Stuff he has had for several years and never once touched, it is now in one of the spare rooms.
This is art stuff, he is an "aspiring artist" but has never put paintbrush to canvass, he has now decided he desperately needs the stuff in sight just in case he has chance.
He will never have chance, at the weekend he is either working, draped out in front of sports programs, or asleep on the sofa as a prelude to complaining he cannot sleep that night.
Admittedly we normally manage a walk on Sunday mornings, but he hates going anywhere else as he never has "time". :eek:What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0
