Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

It is indeed, the boys love it- it was from John Lewis- we had some gift vouchers left so thought we would buy them something silly and cute for their first Christmas :heartpuls

  • When our mog was younger he adored his cat nip drop calendar, he had a manic hour or so, then slept in some form of stoned stupour.

Hi Kittenkirst just catching up with a few diaries. I am so sorry that you haven't been well but glad to hear you are taking some time off work and giving yourself some TLC. The cooking and yoga sound fab x

Catnip calendar sounds great! I made some cat nip treats for our boys last year and they loved them... but the funniest bit was when I'd dropped one on the path outside (trying to lure one back into the house) and later came across a neighbourhood cat having a whale of a time, rolling around all over the place - he must have enjoyed the dropped treat!

Do you do any promotional stuff for your silversmithing? I have a friend with a crafty business who uses something called 'Hike those likes' on Facebook - it seems quite an active community of small (mainly craft) businesses - it's free advertising! Is the jewellery making something you'd like to get into full-time or is it more of a hobby?

  • It sounds like you're using the time off wisely and focusing on your recovery, which sounds to be working. I'm so pleased that you have found some methods to help cope and with the anxiety and hopefully when you're feeling better you will have some skills to help stop it getting so bad next time. I also suffer from anxiety and have only ever been prescribed anti-depressants to help with it so I will definitely be trying some of the things you mentioned on here :)

Well done on the eBay listings! I only wish I had the motivation to list so many items! :D I'm glad you had a great time at the gig and the cookery course. Sounds like the boys have been enjoying their advent calendar treat as well - photo on instagram? (I've lost your instagram link so I haven't seen any kitty photos recently :()

    Keep smiling x

These posts have just reminded me of a patch of catnip we have in the garden. A cat completely flattened it last year ...it was hilarious. Clearly a neighbourhood cat was popping in on a regular basis and running the gauntlet of the dog for a daily rollick. Kitty loves her catnip mice ...and Watty dog eats said mice....ah well .....

I’m sat here chuckling at all of these drugged up blissed out kitties :D

Whilst at yoga tonight the Baubles I listed on Friday sold for £40 plus postage. Hurrah! Money’s been withdrawn and £40 swiftly overpaid to the Mortgage.

Add that to this mornings tilly tidy of £5.07 and December is at £52.33. Great start so far, we are now at £2,348.20 for the year.

I’m checking Yougov daily and have been doing some prolific surveys- now at £7, hoping to get to £20 this month on that too. Fingers crossed.

Time to make the bed and then have a shower ready for early morning yoga.

Early morning yoga done this morning and don’t my hamstrings know it!

I’ve cleaned up the house a bit since I’ve been back and have then created a mini toad in the hole for lunch- one egg, 2 tbsp flour, 150ml milk and then some mini sausages (left over from making the pigs in blankets) and some chopped onion. Will slather it with some gravy for a big lunch.

Off to see a friend who is also off work at the moment with a support plan from her school- hoping that it will be a chilled chat.

Off to my last jewellery class of the term tonight - quite sad really, I really look forward to it once a week- will need to make sure that I book out time weekly to practice and play in the silver room over the festive period.

Right, off to make some gravy for lunch :D

Today is the day!!!! Finally hit £50 on Yougov so have cashed out!!

    £50!!!! :D

    How awesome :)

Prolific is at £14 so far which is great, and I’ve had 3 PineCone surveys this month already (which included one where I got to try the secret product!!)

eBay sales are a bit hit & miss- fortunes hamper is now at £20 and is ending tonight, other items have minimal watchers or no watchers....will resist any that don’t sell as there’s no harm.

Went to the John Lewis shopping event last night for some fizz and mince pies which was lovely and got to spend some time with the gf. We went to TGIs after and took advantage of the last day of the unlimited appetizers! Yum! Also managed to snaffle some free samples of various perfumes at Debenhams.

Friend is over tomorrow to help with some DIY round the house ready for Christmas, gf and I are also planing on doing an inventory of the alcohol in the house in prep for the New Year’s Eve house party we are hosting :)
