I admitted to a friend that I was looking forward to building a new budget spreadsheet as a "treat" after I'd finished all my work - looked at me like I was mad! And said we lived in totally different worlds... which I suppose we do. But I really am looking forward to it :j
Sorry to hear you're poorly too kk - I'm on the way out of it, just with a cough now and very tired. But feeling far more human. Thank goodness!

A mega early start and ikea at the weekend! Hooe you get a decent night's sleep tonight. Early starts can be productive though. I suffered insomnià a few months ago so used to get my cleaning done. Was nice going to work knowing the house was clean and shinyJune 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0

IKEA trip was pretty successful in the end- 'managed to get a tall but thin mirrored bathroom cabinet, 3 shelving units and an attachable table for the silversmithing room, a lovely high chair for at the work bench, a rug for the living room, a blind for the living room, the missing pull out basket for our wardrobes, two pendant lampshades and lots of boxes for the shelves....ended up spending an eye watering £540 but had a gift card from returned items for £45 so just under £500
Didn't end up using the 0% credit as I have enough in my account to cover it without too much pain and then will just reimburse savings the next two months instead.
We went with a group of friends and as I drove one of the boys paid for lunch so We had the meatballs (of course) and shared a cake- yum!
Still need to get a sofa bed but we didn't like the ones they had in reality so that's stayed on the list but so many things ticked off it feels good!
Fingers crossed for some high ebay sales tonight to compensate a little:rotfl: :AFirst home- Oct’16 until June’21: £170.995- Overpayments made £13,784 (25% extra!).

Sounds like you've been productive even though you're unwell, and it sounds like things are coming together. Well done
It's expensive now but soon you'll be settled in and will be able to focus on OPing and saving.

Hi Charley, yes it's definitely investment heavy at the moment but lovely to have a nice confortabke home- I feel so very fortunate & happy

Ah boo, I've just checked Pinecone and it says: "Presently, we do not recruit new members through our website or take unsolicited referrals. However, we will be posting recruitment opportunities through banner ads on various unsolicited websites from time to time throughout the year. If you see one of these ads, please feel free to sign up with us."
If I see any on the other sites I'll let you know Charley xFirst home- Oct’16 until June’21: £170.995- Overpayments made £13,784 (25% extra!).

I've been oping for 7 years now and only our kids know, my parents and best friend have been vaguely told we are trying to clear it early but that's all. I thought we could help others by telling them the difference it makes but where've I've tried the response has ranged from - I don't want to stop enjoying life as I may end up resenting my house, to the usual : well I wish I could afford to do that!
I've given up, thanks goodness for the mf board :T
Glad you had a successful trip to IKEAMFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0
