Well done with your eb@y decluttering. I managed to get £27 for my old Fitbit - the strap had bubbled and was peeling and I sold it unboxed and without a charger, so I think you'll easily get £30 for yours.

That's really good. Well done on the sales, that's a really good boost and I'm sure it will help you remove clutter. I'm going to have to try and think about whether something brings me joy as I am a bit of a hoarder (you never know when something might come in useful) but the clutter really gets to me so something needs to be done! Plus, if i can get something back for it then it's a bonus
I think aiming to add 5 a week is a good target. It's such a bore listing items so if you do it in moderation it should stop you getting fed up (and it won't take all your time from the lovely gf).Mortgage: Mar 2018 -£300,000 / Jul 2021 -£255,000 / Oct 2024 -£172,835 (1.27% Interest until Feb 2027)
Joint Savings: Aim £13.5k. Dec 2016 £1,700 / Jul 2021 £36,600 / Oct 2024 £106,450 (£100k in PBs. £5,850 at 4% interest. £600 Regular Saver at 7% Interst)
Car Loan: Oct 2024 -£45,000 (0% APR Interest)0 -

Hi MortgageGirl, TryHarder & Charley
I'm pretty pleased with the EBay haul this week, think we have listed a lot of the pricier items now though so I'm not expected as high bids in future but it's deffo off to a good start.
Although there are 20 watchers on the Fitbit already....eeeek!
Had a pinecone email today so have filled that in- will await the £3 tracking and logged into Onepoll to find a few surveys in there too so quickly completed them.
Made the lean in 15 oaty chicken for dinner with half a sweet spud roasted and some asparagus (Lidl 59p deal!) which was pretty good but the chicken was a little bland...needs more herbs and spices next time for me, we have a chopped chicken breast to share for lunch tomorrow to take to Manchester.
We are both away for the same night in Manchester for the first time in around 8 months, we will go and get some dinner which we can claim back which is pretty fab but I'm guessing everywhere will be packed. I'm quite happy with a nandos especially if company is paying
It does mean a 5am leave time in the morning though *sob* but we can lift share to reduce expenses though.
Bought a Diet Coke and a frothy coffee at work today as was stuck I a meeting with the big boss....not good on the spends front really.
Pay day on Wednesday yay, so my little car will get a treat and get filled up () it had a poorly weekend as the headlights both blew so £12 on new bulbs and it's on the go again thankfully.
Off to read more diaries and then get packed for the night away!First home- Oct’16 until June’21: £170.995- Overpayments made £13,784 (25% extra!).
New forever home- Sep’21 £309,449 @ 2.05%. Plan to clear it before 30 years!!!!!!0 -
I always love a good Ebay session. I now find that getting rid of junk on there and paying the money off the mortgage is much more exciting then buying more crap I need. I emptied another box of crap from my loft on Sunday, and popped 2 items on there. The more expensive one already has a bid for £1350

Wow that's some impressively high value clutter there NorthernMonkey1 and totally living up to that saying 'one mans junk is another mans treasure!' :money:First home- Oct’16 until June’21: £170.995- Overpayments made £13,784 (25% extra!).

Charley- I didn't think I was much of a hoarder really however looking over the last few years I have done some eBay sales each year and they've amassed a good value....last year we did two car boot sales and there's still more boxes of stuff for this year...roll on march/April for more stuff out of the house!
I've really found the Marie Kondo book (won on a competition- yay) good inspiration for organising and reducing the 'noise' in the house and for putting things in perspective for me,I found that I kept a lot of things as I'd spent good money on them, but then didn't ever use them so they made me feel guilty whenever I found them. I don't need the negativity so am selling those and ridding myself of the guiltFirst home- Oct’16 until June’21: £170.995- Overpayments made £13,784 (25% extra!).

I've found that however much I get rid of, I can always find a bit more (and I've never been a hoarder, there's just always something else that can be got rid of). I'm looking forward to the car boot season starting too, KK - as you say, more stuff leaving the house!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days
