E.ON Energy Fixed 1 Year v19 NOT ending today (04/02/16)

I'm now on the MSE Collective Fixed 1 Feb 2016 which has Price Alert service available (according to tariff information in my account) and which I'm fairly sure I ticked a box for when I went through the application process.
Are you saying you think I wouldn't get a Price Alert for V20?
Hi onzey
As you're on the MSE Collective Fixed 1 Year Electric Only tariff, you won't receive a Price Alert about version 20 even though you've signed up to this service. This is because collectives are one off standalone tariffs and no new versions will be released.
Totally understand the confusion caused by the conflicting information you mention. This is something I've raised as per another thread at the following link (posts 205 and 210).

Sorry for the confusion onzey. I'll see what I can do about this going forward.

That doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Just because there will be no new versions of a collective, I would still like to be made aware of other new tariffs!
Why not just have a system of Price Alerts (preferably to be received well within 10 working days) that tells any customer who is signed up to it of any new tariff that becomes available in case it is of interest?
Is it me or am I missing something here?0 -
As above, we're all waiting with bated breath for next Tuesday Maxwell007.
Perhaps it is going to be only available to those aged over 65 and Age UK will be subsidising the tariff:D0 -

That's just too easy to comprehend0 -
Looks like its going to be a 3 way balancing act - EON v20 vs MSE BG deal vs whatever deal comes out from the Great British collective (EHL) on the 15th !!!0

If the oil price doesn't dip any more, where's the cheap tariff coming from?
We need to start a rumour that Putin is piping oil through China, which gets round the sanction over Ukraine. China in turn is buying less from Saudi Arabia. Oil price collapses down to US$10.
All so I can get £200 off my annual energy bill.
No, £400, since my car's petrol bill will go down too.0 -
Would it be worth taking V19 now in case V20 is more expensive do you think?
If V20 then turns out to be cheaper, could always cancel the switch and start again or wait for it be complete, then amend once the account is setup.0 -

The new nPower tariff has probably also shaken things up. At least in London (for heavy users) the March 2017 tariff is the current cheapest for both dual fuel and gas only by quite a margin.
It certainly blows the MSE BG deal out of the water for our usage..0 -

Try looking at seperate fuel suppliers.
nPower is good for gas in your region, but I'd be surprised if they beat the MSE/Eon electricity tariff (or even v19 if you can't get the MSE deal)0 -

I'm already on the MSE Eon electricity deal and have no plans to go back nPower having once been a customer (it didn't go well and they made Extraenery look good in comparison!)
And my gas is with Daligas but yes, I was surprised at how much nPower had undercut everyone else - don't you just love price wars0
