They are page guidelines not profile (individual) ones.
It is not against the rules to share competition posts etc.
While it is against the rules for a promoter to require certain actions as a condition of entry it is not against the rules for an individual to do them.
Lots of people have had bans and there are lots of assumptions but no evidence anyone was banned for just sharing a competition post.
As I already posted
FB do not like "excessive" friend requests/likes/tags etc but it makes no difference if they are competition related or not.0 -

Their concerns are mostly with potential law breaking and not issues with their guidelines being broken.
"I don't think it should be on Facebook"
would have to do although the options following that choice are not much use either.
FB appear not to be bothered if certain parts of their page guidelines are broken as there would be an easy option to report if they were.
A cynic might think having not sharing/liking etc in the guidelines helps them with claims about the number of "genuine" interactions they get and therefore increases the potential charges to advertisers, the numbers only taking a hit on the rare occasions they have a blitz and it's enforced.
Many pages with like etc comps are also paying FB with sponsored posts etc and the paying customer is right more often than the non paying one.0 -

The thing with "shares" is that they are only visible / invisble to others (including competition owners) dependant on individual user's privacy settings. Therefore there is no way to 'police'.Still waiting to win a dream holiday...0
