I think these rules may have changed over time but I would just like clarification as when you search on Facebook there are threads all over the place from various dates.
1) Can a competition ask you to 'like' their page?
2) Can a competition ask you to 'like' their post?
3) Can a competition ask you to 'share' their page?
4) Can a competition ask you to 'share' their post?
5) Can a competition ask you to 'tag' friends?
If the answer to any of these is 'no' then can anyone find the most up to date terms on Facebook?
Thanks!

Why do mice have such small balls?
Because so few of them can dance.
Because so few of them can dance.

Thank you. I found older ones like this too. It's dated 2011 - I just wanted to check that nothing has changed since then?
I'm often "reminded" I need to tag a load of friends to enter a competition!Why do mice have such small balls?

I think these from Jan 2015 are the most recentE. Promotions
1. If you use Facebook to communicate or administer a promotion (ex: a contest or sweepstakes), you are responsible for the lawful operation of that promotion, including:
a. The official rules;
b. Offer terms and eligibility requirements (ex: age and residency restrictions); and
c. Compliance with applicable rules and regulations governing the promotion and all prizes offered (ex: registration and obtaining necessary regulatory approvals)
2. Promotions on Facebook must include the following:
a. A complete release of Facebook by each entrant or participant.
b. Acknowledgement that the promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook.
3. Promotions may be administered on Pages or within apps on Facebook. Personal Timelines and friend connections must not be used to administer promotions (ex: “share on your Timeline to enter” or “share on your friend's Timeline to get additional entries”, and "tag your friends in this post to enter" are not permitted).
4. We will not assist you in the administration of your promotion, and you agree that if you use our service to administer your promotion, you do so at your own risk.

NO = 1) Can a competition ask you to 'like' their page?
YES = 2) Can a competition ask you to 'like' their post?
NO = 3) Can a competition ask you to 'share' their page?
NO = 4) Can a competition ask you to 'share' their post?
NO = 5) Can a competition ask you to 'tag' friends?0 -
My question to add on to this.. Has anyone won a competition that states you need to share/tag friends without actually doing that?? So many of the comps I've seen say like, comment, tag & share.. i don't bother tagging or sharing as I dont want to annoy all my friends but if I could still win by simply liking and commenting then i'll start entering more0

I won a sponge cake comp before Christmas (just a small but yummy prize of a card cake) that stated like, comment CHRISTMAS and share. most people like and commented (some added usual sob stories and didn't follow instructions) but there weren't many shares (less shares than likes and comments) I didn't share but liked and comment the word CHRISTMAS and won.2018 wins-12wins0 -

I usually write 'Done' or something like that, even though I only ever 'Like'. I've won 3 comps that said sharing was compulsary.I just enter and forget...hoping to win something!0 -
In that case I might stop sharing, I'm sick of filling my wall with comps.Make £10 per day-
