  • Dont forget there is quite a big market on ebay for broken items, i.e laptops and printers, I have sold a broken laptop, printer and youview box got £10 each time, people like them for spares or just to play around with to try and fix.

Another good seller is used tickets. i have sold used tickets to both a dr who exhibition and harry potter world. Both my buyers were in the US. Also sold a Dr Who plastic carrier bag would you believe.
I'm a greenfield sight for sore eyes, and sore eyes are just needing the light, the shapes, and the shadows of the space we share, before it splits into Thin Air.

Anyone any experience of selling LP's. OH has a collection which he never plays anymore Not sure whether Ebay is the best place to sell as he thinks some might be more valuable than others.

Laser don't be disheartened. £161 for not really any work is great. Brings your debt free date closer. Plus it will save you £££s in interest. Plus Ive found clearing out stuff makes me feel more in control of my home and finances. Ive found the more I declutter the more I can declutter. Get better every time. If you asked me a year ago if I had anything worth selling I'd have laughed. Since August I've made £800 on eBay after fees. And more on Facebook, ziffit and webuybooks. It's been liberating and brilliant for my finances. And there's not one thing I miss. I can't even tell you what I've sold. Use this as a spring board to keep your own momentum up :) xxx
    Loan 1 £5200/£8000
    Loan 2 £300/£5800
    Total £5500/£13800

Fantastic outlook Kitten!! If it takes your a few weeks closer to goal it's better than running a duster over ever week or to keep adding to it into the loft. Better out than in!

Sorry if I sound preachy - no one around me approves and they all take the mick out of me for doing it. It takes a lot of enthusiasm for me to keep motivated so I'm trying to share it with you guys. I don't know. Maybe I'm the eBay cult lol x

    Hey everyone

I managed to list 8 more items yesterday so up to 20 in total. Mine all finish on Sunday / Monday night and I've got 73  watchers, 8 bids and up to about £34 so far. Hoping for more though ;)

I prefer auctions for clothes kittenkirst only because I always undervalue stuff. Plus it's exciting when there a bidding war at the end :rotfl:

    Good luck :)
    Debt Apr 15 - £6895.44 :( Apr 17 - £2500 :) Dec 17 - £560 :) July 18 - £199 :D

Every penny is a prisoner :D
  • I've been slack again the last couple of days, but I plan to bash through some more on the weekend!

Sold quite a bit which means dragging it all to the post office boo! Also just relisted 7 that didn't sell so these may end up at the charity shop next week.

    20/29 listed
    13 sold
    0 Bids

I think I'm sitting at around the £50 profit mark so far, which is better than a poke in eye from a debt collector!

    Thanks Kitten.

And so.... I have reached a dilema, which many of us will be approaching. I went onto ebay last night to list my item, and I was charged a listing fee of 35p (where as all previous items had been listed for free). this appears to be because I've used up all of my free listings for the month.

Now, I'm not confident on my future items selling, and so I don't intend listing anything for the remainder of Feb. This will mean I do have plenty of items drafted for the start of March, ready for a free listing.

Is this what you would do?
  • I found the same thing last night, the swines! Sigh. I did relist them but I think the next batch of 9 will be higher value items like games to make it worthwhile.

It's a good lesson for next month, unless I get one of those 100 free listing emails I will list higher value items only. If I get the 100 free ones I will bash out a load of the cheap stuff.

It's also a good reminder to try other places too like gumtree and fbook selling groups. I think I'll take a peek at those at the weekend.

Come on eBay, send us all a valentine mail shot!
