    Hello eb@yers
I've had 7 items finish on Sunday and from that lot I've made £35.49 total profit. 2 items are being collected on Friday which should be another £11.98. And 7 items finished last night but I'm still waiting for 3 payers and then I can work out my overall profit. :D

16/20 sold so far so I'll relist those 4 and half draft another 12 items ready for my next free listings. Feels so good to get rid of stuff and make money!

Kittycashcake..... I only give them 3 days to pay and then it auto sends a dispute thingy. More than enough time to pay unless they message you directly.

    Good luck money makers ;)
    Debt Apr 15 - £6895.44 :( Apr 17 - £2500 :) Dec 17 - £560 :) July 18 - £199 :D
CHEFS challenge (Cruise Holiday Entirely Funded by Surveys) - £685.79
Every penny is a prisoner :D
  • Oh wow! This thread has hit this weeks MSE email newsletter how lovely! It's right at the bottom under "quickies"! Well done guys, hopefully all the successes will motivate others to get rid of more unwanted bits and pieces!

On a side note not a sniff from my fbook groups which I'm sad about, might have to suck it up and pay those eBay fees.

I did find out that an ice cream maker I've had sitting in the cupboard is worth about £20. It's quite bulky those though, can anyone recommend a good parcel company? I think the Royal Mail would be a touch expensive. I know you can do collect at pick up points but can you send from them too? Thanks guys!

Well done on the newsletter mention :T

I've used myhermes about 4 times without any problems. You do it all online (they accept payp@l too), print out the label on to paper, then you can drop it off at a collection point or for a bit extra, they can collect from you. Much better deals than R0yal M@il :)

It's already been said on here - parcel2go. They are like a comparison site each and get discounted prices. Search for them on here as theres a code for £5 off your first order.

I'm up for this too, a bit late in joining but I am going to continue doing this into March. I have an 'eBay' cupboard full of stuff to sell and never get around to it. Seriously need to declutter.
I think I will do each one and save it and then post on Sunday evening for those that are auction listings. Anything that is buy it now I'll just list straight away.
I may have to stop listing buy it now's and non-90 pence listings when I reach 20 as I only get 20 free listings a month.

I might even start storing through some other cupboards when I am all sold up.

  • Hi Penny! I'll happily put up a new challenge next weekend for March too! Maybe also include declutter and donate as part of it, basically detox your house one way or another, but preferably with cash!

I'm going to push and do my final wave this weekend to squeeze out a few more pennies for February. No sniffs on the Facebook selling page which I'm surprised about. Come on eBay, give us a free listings weekend!

    Hi there

Just joining in on this, although possibly not to the extent of 29 items on ebay! But we've just moved, so there may be some items still hidden away that could be put on!

I do have 10 items on there though, just to see if anyone would be interested and I'm really pleased that 7 have already got bids on! What a bit annoying is that a previous incarnation of the ebay app used to give you a running 'live' total as to how much your items were currently selling for. It now doesn't do this, so I have to wait till their sold to know how much I make (although of course i could get a calculator out!)

Another way I'm going to make money this month is to take some outgrown clothes to a secondhand shop and whilst they take 60% commission, 40% for me is better than nothing!

    Good luck everyone!

    Well another update

13 sold so far totalling £86.77
3 items with 3 days left to go but only 1 with a bid

I wanted £80 to go towards the kids school trip, need to pay £80 for the next 3 months, so pleased to have reached the target. I didn't think I would. I did mean to get a few more bits on this week but got distracted with half term. Will try harder to get an item a day listed next month.

    Hi all, update from me

5/10 items have bids on and will go. Finishing on Sunday evening!

This weekend I plan to put another 8 items at least on and then everything will go to the car boot on 6th March!

Over £110 made so far all in all, not sure on fees just yet though!

Keep up with all the ebaying everyone!
I will totally check out parcel2go too :D
    First home- Oct’16 until June’21: £170.995- Overpayments made £13,784 (25% extra!).
New forever home- Sep’21 £309,449 @ 2.05%. Plan to clear it before 30 years!!!!!!
  • I have set myself a similar challenge to declutter with the aim of earning £1 a day all year - started this week and am backtracking to cover February and January before moving forward. As of today I am on 19th of February but still 'owe' January £15 if that makes sense? Once January is covered I'll start moving forward and getting ahead of myself with any luck! 3 things requested on FB today but not counting my chickens till I see the money!
