Natty - *huge hugs* Finding vibes for your tablet. Don't feel bad about the crate, some dogs just need that little bit extra. When I find out what the extra is that Zack needs to stop him pulling like a husky in a race when we take him out then I'll be making sure I take advantage of it or I may end up flying over to the USA through doggie power :rotfl:
Monday is grocery shopping day, then a day in the kitchen cooking and/or my desk while I do some important paperwork. After most of last week appearing to be spent on work related things, I really need to put the housework first this week. Also I'm starting my new years resolutions so walking the dog daily (unless very good reason like AF who has me under house arrest a couple of days each time), and eating healthy need to be top priority.
I'm bringing my personal list over from last week. Its no where near complete, but its the most important things and I have the rest written in a notebook.
Personal:
Set up & organise planners - in progress but I need ink and paper for the printer.
[STRIKE]Sort stickers (1cm square) [/STRIKE] Scrapping this and just doing handwritten notes instead.
Ironing
New Cold Callers sign for the door.
Demould hall (incl front door), livingroom, kitchen
Wash [STRIKE]livingroom curtains,[/STRIKE] my quilt, DD's quilt,
Iron blinds
HB form - call monday to confirm info needed.
[STRIKE]Review Jan budget and adjust Feb budget[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE] Box up charity donations [/STRIKE]
[STRIKE] Sort through purse. [/STRIKE]
Chase DD to clean her shoes with polish not just quickshine

Thank you Natty for the new thread and Bossy for last week's. I hope you find your therapy helpful, Natty. Good news that your FiL is settled comfortably. Nexus finding vibes coming your way - have you looked under the seat in the car?
Great news about your gt-nephew, Narc0 :j - and thank you for the tip about the free download for Microsoft security. This afternoon I managed to uninstall the old program (which costs money) from my netbook and install Microsoft instead. I'm sure it will be adequate, as I rarely use the netbook now, but it's a useful back-up for times like last week.
The concert was brilliant, and thanks to the !!!!!! I managed not to cough once
Having moved his PC from the DR table into his mancave (garage), DH has been complaining bitterly that the wifi signal is not strong enough. I had told him to check and see if we still had the special plugs from BT that route the signal via the electrical cable, and if not to ring BT and ask for some. Of course he has not followed my advice
I have just looked in the obvious place (drawer under the TV stand, next to the hub) and there are the plugs, complete with all instructions! I just hope he can get it working now!
We have a quiet week ahead of us until Friday, and the house was cleaned all through on Friday and Saturday, so my list for tomorrow looks something like this:
- Phone two friends about visiting next weekend
- Clear clutter from desk and spare bed
- Finance check for start of the month
- Make 1p/day payment for this week
- S&S bathroom
- S&S ensuite
- S&S kitchen
- Tidy lounge
- Empty and clean out all the bins (upstairs *and* down - it's bin day on Tuesday)
- WM x1 or 2
- Read at least 2 chapters of my book
- Go for my blood test if I still feel well enough without taking parrots - if not, postpone until Tuesday
- Work for at least one hour on the new course notes (now that I've had my colleague's response to the long email I sent her a fortnight ago)
- Photograph and list 10 items on ebeast
- Fill a bag for the CS
(((Hugs))) spoons and sticks to all as needed. See you tomorrow x (well, later today, actually :rotfl:)0 -

Morning all. Hugs etc where needed.
I'm well behind this morning as I had a lie in on a paid stuff day. So not even dailies are all done yet but the dogs have been walked. Think I'll just whizz the hoover round downstairs to get up the worst of OldDogs fur, then start the paid stuff.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Morning all
Have had quick read and sending hugs to all who need them.
Have been up since 5 30 this morning- Hubby away all week and DS3 had to be out of house early today so got up to do quiet jobs - have dusted and put living room neat.
Been worrying about Dad he has Parkinson's and not eating spends most of his time asleep now. Mum 79 looks after him( they refuse to have carers) and I'm 165 miles away. Sister who is 20 mins away sent me text on Friday to tell me they had no milk! I wasn't sure what she thought I could do so loads of tears here -it breaks my heart and the constant trips to see them was one of reasons OH moved out a couple of years ago as I was spending more time there than here.
Sorry moan over
Thanks to everyone who does the list or who come to chat I best make a move the rain has stopped so dog walk next I think.0 -
Nicki - do you use a halti or anything when you walk him?
We tried his collar which is how his old owner had him and he kept choking himself. We've tried this harness which came highly recommended and he still pulled like crazy. Then we got a petsathome own brand halti for his nose and he pulled so much it was pushing up against his eyes and making them sore. With all those being leads at the front and him choking himself we're now trying a comfy harness and it seems to work a tiny bit better but still not great as he still pulls but he's not choking as much.
I think part of the problem is his former owner appeared to have no control over him (or her other dog) when on the lead from what I could see and used to drive him to the park then let him off his lead to run free. So he needs training how to walk on a lead. He does fine in the house with the training, but as soon as we get outside he's off and nearly everything he's learnt is forgotten, he just wants to get to the park and off the lead. I've found a dog training channel on utube where they're training a border collie so I'm working my way through those. Then I just need to be able to apply what I learnI can't quite believe we've had him a year on Good Friday
This morning is already not going to plan. I didn't get to sleep until gone 2am so slept in until 7am. I came down to DD on the laptop writing her essay out since there was no ink in the printer and the clean kitchen I left last night looking like a tornado had been through it. Struggling to think straight this morning but I need to sit down and meal plan properly today if I'm going to stick to healthier recipes.
First things first, HHI as I need clothes from the ironing pile and it includes DD's PE kit as well. :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0
