just had to fire off an email. the second hand phone I bought will not switch on at all today. and even the staff at the shop could not get it to switch on but refused to refund or replace. I kept telling them I was not interested in cosmetic damage which did not affect the fact that the battery was faulty from when I purchased it to the fact that it would not even switch on now.

so have sent to the founder of the shop and requested a refund or replacement, as I cannot be without a phone full stop. I have a child at school and no way for the school to contact me if anything happens.

and apart from that why should I have to purchase another handset when they sold the original faulty in the first place!

anyway, rant over, while doing this, found some useful stuff

:rotfl: I did think of the bumbag idea as well but when it comes to floor exercises I am highly likely to sit on the blooming thing and break it apart from looking a nerd.

Have you thought about one of the arm band things for your phone?

Apart from that i was sure there was something about activities on bounts - there is something for scanning i believe?

I've managed to hit 7000 steps twice since adding bounts :rotfl: but i will be able to walk further in the warmer weather so for now i'm just practicing :p

I've had that problem before CBC. I made a note of the survey details and then hit the take another survey button. It then came up as submitted

Thanks for that advice, Lynne. I'll try that when it happens again:T:

The submission has already been approved now though and the money is in my Prolific account. That was quick:j

Today I signed up to Prolific, not heard of that before, thanks for the idea. I've just completed my first survey for £1 and posted my referral link on the appropriate thread on here.

Done three mystery shops for a total of £26. I was so tempted to cancel the third one as was feeling tired and fed up but thought of my total not growing as fast I would like made me carry on. So this thread is definitely helping me.

No more mystery shops booked until Saturday so need to work on some othe money making ideas tomorrow. Maybe a bit of ebaying or listing some books on Amazon.
  • thanks for the welcome :) I made another £20 today, facebook sales again so my new total is £92 for this month, few more sales lined up for this week, aslong as they show...

I think the scanning thing is only available in gyms that are signed up with bounts. I mentioned bounts to the receptionist at my gym and got a blank look which I expected :rotfl:

Will investigate an armband thing but its not really me. Im normally a bit of a techno phobe and dont do facebook etc .

If I can get my activity points from a couple of decent walks a day I will be happy and I often get these with walking the dog and when the weather improves I might even walk to work.

Managed 12,000 today with a short dog walk and eight hour shift on my feet.

Nice to see new members and everyones enthusiasm on this thread. :T
