Thanks Lex, my brain was befuddled. I think I'll do amazon cos it's only a fiver worth. I've started paying myself the money for AGC and it's on sale. And it'll last for a decade. I mean it's valid for a decade, it won't last a decade (book addiction).Make £520 a year in 2020 so far (£0 cash £0 AGC)

Evening lovely peoples
Well done on all the money-making - some fantastic amounts and smashed targets again for this month :T  :T
Have spent most of my spare time today researching for my holiday next month. Lots of it is MSE as I've been looking at the buses for travelling (instead of taxis) and finding free things to go visit. I've also copied maps and directions to places, lists of reasonable priced restaurants and good tapas bars.
Need to find some good books to download on my tablet - cheap or free. Can anyone offer some good places to look ???
Had lots of problems with my printer as wellEventually sorted and DH went to shop for a new ink refill. It has printed about 30 pages and now stopped again - saying the cartridge needs replacing  I will have to go back to the shop on Monday - only a three mile walk - to take it back and probably have to argue for a replacement
Good news is that DH has had a tax rebate on his wages this month. That is brilliant as only applied for the married allowance on the 10th of this month. We had the letter for new code for next tax year 2016/2017 last week. I really am well impressed. So that's another £200 to add to the month (and the holiday fund) :j :j
Hope you all have a super Sunday

If there's a minimum pay-in requirement (Clydesdale requires £1,000 within 30 days for example) transfer money from the main account to your secondary account, and then back out again. Do so again the next day. Keep doing it until you've paid in £1,000.
Opening a second bank account and then switching it out is the equivalent of paying 10%-15% of that overdraft.
Thanks Lex
Now about Direct Debits - How do we set up DD's for pennies ? - I do Standing orders - but no DD's - If I'm going over my limits, I want to be the one who does it not some "auto-sys"
DD's are the problem I have with the "switching" - any help gratefully received x0 -

Lx
Kindle do a list of best sellers and theres an option to search free top 100 bestsellers.
If you haven't already sign up for ereaderIQ - you can set specific books or authors and it emails you when the price drops (and you can set a minumum amount.) Say you wanted a copy of Aesops Money saving tips but only wanted to pay 99p for it - you set it up and when the price drops from £10 to 99p it emails you.
I know it's not free but if you're wanting something specific eventually.. when it's cheaper its a good site.
Thanks for the other links Aesop.Make £520 a year in 2020 so far (£0 cash £0 AGC)

Oh my gosh that's amazing! Is there then a time limit that I have to stay with the bank for??0 -
Another £6 on sales to report. Just got back from the stables and the sun is shining so will take photos of everything tenuously linked to Mother's Day and try and pick up some more sales this coming week. Should have some more free bets to place too for matched betting, hoping for £100 profit from that in March...0

I don't know, honestly. I just chose 2 of my regular "bill" direct debits (in my case, the internet and the TV license) and switched them to my new secondary account manually - with most bills you can do this online with new bank account details.
I don't think that you can set up DDs to yourself or do it for pennies - those are standing orders.
But you can set up an SO from your first bank to transfer the amount for whatever DDs you moved to second bank at the right time so you don't forget about it.
Once you've got your two direct debits set up, you can think about switching that secondary bank to whoever is offering the biggest bonus and the two DDs will go with it. After that, you just have to change your standing order to go to the new account.
Now that I'm done with the pay-in requirements on mine, I just have two standing orders on HSBC (primary) to go out to my Clydesdale (secondary) - one each the day before the relevant bill. The only money that bank sees now is £29.05 in and out each month.
ETA: if you currently don't use direct debit at all, I'd suggest setting up two on your smallest bills. The TV license is a small one if you have it, or "minimum payment" DDs on credit cards. That way, since it's the two smallest regular outgoings you have, you're not going to be in much danger of them "going over".
Like, don't set it up for the £90 electricity bill or £50 SKY bill if you sometimes fail to make those payments on time manually. Do it for the little things.Aqua 0/1850 Cap.One 0/450 Vanquis 0/500 HSBC 0/100
