Its a topic of hot debate amongst Sky users as it appears to be true. The LNB that Q uses is unique. But as yet Sky are yet to comment.0 -
I asked about freesat equipment and Sky Q yesterday when on the phone to Sky to cancel my mum and dads account. The advisor confirmed the LNB for Sky Q and existing equipment aren't compatible and the only solution is to have 2 dishes, in my case anyway, if I wanted to continue running free sat in various rooms along side Sky Q.0

....VERY messy !!!:rotfl:0 -
I'd like to know how it will effect people who have existing discount offers with Sky, if you can keep the discount then the hike shouldn't be to bad but remove the discount entirely and it's going to be very expensive.0

A dead cert that Sky aren't going to carry over discounts to the new Q system -there will prob. be enuf rich s*ds initially to fulfil the launch targets. What will be interesting is whether new Sky user deals will become available maybe 6 months down the line:)0 -
I think the interesting part will be the response from the other players .....and if they have other offerings in the pipeline tooI Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -
Virgin?
BT?
Nope.
Virgin Media already offer the ability to pair up to 6 boxes around the home with 4 channel capability and already offer streaming to tablets and phones. Sky HD already has Sky Go and multiroom. BT only has 1 extra box, but they also already offer streaming to tablets and phones and do something no one else does - broadcast a limited amount of content in UHD.0
