No, it will be interesting to see HOW MANY buffering problems there will be.
For added multi-screen functionality around the home, Sky Q is going to use ethernet, powerlines and 802.11ac WiFi and a Mini will act as a WiFi booster.
But, what many people don't get is the fact that if they have poor WiFi in the home, they have poor WiFi in the home!! And buying no amount of new kit is going to solve that.0 -

So do I with one of my YouView boxes, but its unclear if powerlines will work without a Sky Q Hub, which in turn means without Sky broadband.0 -

Actually what was said was that it will be rolled out to customers who have Sky broadband first- and shortly after to those who are with other providers ............... Nowhere does it say those with other providers will be excluded even partially.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

The wording is actually "soon after" in reference to those with other BB providers (taken directly from Sky's release not some rehashed version .I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Oh but it does. Read the releases again. The full functionality of Q's network capabilities will only be utilised if one has a Sky Q hub. And they said that not me. Good hunting...0
