Hi there,
If anyone is in need of help you can tweet @TalkTalk care. For non twitter users there is help available on our community forums where you'll be able to register and post.
Thanks

I am the official company representative of Talk Talk. MSE has given permission for me to post in response to queries about the company, so that I can help solve issues. You can see my name on the companies with permission to post list. I am not allowed to tout for business at all. If you believe I am please report it to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com This does NOT imply any form of approval of my company or its products by MSE"0 -

How much help could you give with 140 characters anyway?
It seems there is a total lack of communication between Talk Talks departments.
I got a call last night from Talk Talk and hopefully it's all been resolved now, I also requested proof that I won't be charged cancellation fee's, so I have a email stating the charges have been credited. Fingers crossed there's no more problems.
(And look at them paragraphs woo hoo)0 -

Do Talk Talk get commission on sales, as there are 7 searches from talk talk on my credit file it looks like 7 orders been put through. Who will rectify this?0

TalkTalk hasn't improved in 5 years. They don't want to. As long as they can get customers to work for nothing, why should they? It's run by two of the sharpest cookies you'll find - Dunstone and Harding. Do you not think that they could make it better if they choose to?
Customers with problems should go straight to "Customer Retention" by saying they are going to cancel. If that doesn't do the trick, complaining to the regulator will cause them problems of all kinds. It's easy to do online, and doesn't waste your time.0 -

The sales advisors probably get commission or some kind of incentive for booking a sale. Which is why the default, advisor remedy is........I'll rebook it for you. .......The majority don't care that the order failed or was rejected or why it failed or was rejected.
They will happily place orders to take over existing numbers at times they know talk talk aren't allowed to place those orders due to imposed restrictions so the orders fail, they will happily place orders for new numbers, saying BT, Sky, Virgin, Plusnet or anyone else won't release the number you have or just knowingly misleading people about it for the sale saying they did order a number port but the system provided a new number itself for the aforementioned reason. even if they know there is an issue or not they will happily place your order.
Talk talk is all about the money. The user gets it as it is cheap knowing, and not caring what the general quality and reputation is like. The advisor will make some kind of bonus placing the order, if not directly then indirectly, so doesn't care if it will work or not as the chances of him ever speaking to you again are slim to none. The bosses are raking in the dosh and, as long as the cash keeps coming in, they have no incentive to improve things.
In general, with anything, If you want quality then you pay for it, if you want cheap, then cheap is what you get.
Talk talk are a very cheap BB and phone provider. You can read that however you like0 -
Yes talktalk are cheap but you do get a reasonable service. I have been with BT, Virgin, Sky and O2 and in my experience TT would rate 2nd. I have had three issues and never had to call as everything was resolved by TTs very good support forum.0

I would never use Talk Talk after they tried to dupe me with their "free broadband" scam.Retired at age 56 after having "light bulb moment" due to reading MSE and its forums. Have been converted to the "budget to zero" concept and use YNAB for all monthly budgeting and long term goals.0
