That is what everyone is saying but hey we cannot have stupid councils trashing cars can we ?
Getting the media involved will not stop the council from paying and it might just get extra money for distress
The council have admitted they are at fault
You can get more from a sponge than squeezing it, there will always be the final drops0 -
The BPA produce a guide to Abandoned Vehicles and the legislation. You can download the flowchart and decide if they have broken any laws. They have a number of legal powers - but that does not mean they did it legally

Under what circumstances can a council ever legally scrap a car? If the police shift a vehicle causing an obstruction they take it to a pound & charge a release fee they don't put it in a crusher.0

Is it worth using http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/site/resolver for all electronic correspondence?
Agree also that a NWNF solicitor will probably get a larger payout that will cost local ratepayers dear, but it could take 3 years if Council wants to argue.0 -

Get the money for the car first, then persue them for damages0 -
Does anyone have contact details of any NWNF solicitors that will take on or specialise in the parking field? Google isn't returning much other than paid ads.
Still haven't had a confirmation link or an email response from the admin at pepipoo0 -
