    Good morning everyone

Managed to get most of my jobs done yesterday & the ones I didn't do yesterday I managed to do somthing else as equally important, so not a bad start getting back into it.

Need to deceide what to get dd2 for her birthday in a couple of weeks, she has so much already due to xmas just gone by.

Picked up my first Christmas present of the year. Wasn't going to start so early this year but saw a lovley girls hairdryer gift set for £5 and couldn't resist. I must admit this year was so stress free getting the presents early.

Setting myself a challenge to earn a extra £5/save £5 a day to put in holiday pot. Done music magpie/recycle phone/cash back so there help out later in the task when the cash comes through. Today I'm going to pay in my small coppers jar to get me started & try & list somthing that will sell for tomorrow's. Will have a mooch on the challenges board for somthing to keep me motivated!

    Today's Listy;

    Pure Money
    Check online banking tick
Pick up wages & budget for the week
    Pay childminder for this week
    Check dd's

    One bag for charity shop
List one thing on selling pages

    Hello Frugal Friends,
Blowiing a gale here. Unfortunately keeps raining too, or I would have pegged the washing out for a free dry. A few money saving bits & pieces though:
*Did laundry overnight on cheap tariff. Did the remaining half load (that's it for the week, now) so as to make best use of the heated airer. i.e If it's on, I might as well get as much stuff onto it as possible.
*Made a lentil roast. Made up enough mixture for a spare one too, which I've just put in the freezer for a freebie meal next month.
*Prepped veg for tonight & organised fridge. I like to know what's lurking at the back, so that nothing gets wasted. 3/4 of a lemon rescued. Squeezed the juice & froze it. Bound to have a recipe soon which requires lemon juice.
    *Made tomorrow's packed lunch.
*Refilled tiny plastic boxes with value dried fruit & Aldi pistachio nuts for work snacks.
*New Radio Times arrived in the post. Still on the £1 for lots of issues offer which mr f took out before Christmas. Not sure when paying full amount kicks in so must ask him to check.
*Knit more of my lovely purple sock.
    *Entered a competition.
*Did a couple of Onepoll surveys & some Toluna quick clicks - need fewer than 100 points for a voucher, so must make sure I earn at least those this week.
    *Did 1 Annoying Thing.
Doing some work on my family history project now. Have got huge cardi on so as to avoid turning heating up. Only turned the upstairs radiators down very recently, but I think the gales are making more draughts than usual. Cat is horrified that the fire isn't lit. I've promised him I will light it at 5pm!
    Have a good afternoon all,
    f x
P.S DNMS - You were right about those Vikings........ooooh-er, Missis! Just started Season 2 last night! All that hair & leather put a spring in my step, I can tell you! Thanks for the recommendation.

Well DD is on her way to Euro Disney and no more excited traveller was there ever!

All morning jobs done. All ok.
Manic work day, as ever. Was going to do an expensive marketing campaign, but not matched so there is a saving! Defeats the object really so not really money saving, but it makes sense to me.
Ate cafe lunch as was starving, so not a nsd.
Am sat reading a coaching manual and trying to stay awake and am procrastinating and avoiding the massive pile of work smiling at me.
Lots to do when I get home, walked through kitchen in wellies, (it is as bad as you imagine) straight from lambing shed, via muddy walk! Grim.
Have opened a savings account to try to save for july tax bill. about time I tried to get organised.
    Back to the manual.
    Bye for now.
    Maria.

Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
    Morning all

Ally My lovely lovely brother has been saving a little each week for my kids since they were born and this should pay for DS1s driving lessons.

Have a good day everyone x

What a good guy! Seriously. I laughed to my OH the other day that now he has a daughter he needs to start saving for her wedding:rotfl: but...we all know that's the way to do it. Little and long term.

  • Evening all,

    Thanks for starting Ally

Hectic day at work for me but I've managed to make some progress with a project I'm working on
Not a NSD as I ordered my bridal bouquet and buttonholes - they're silk and can take up to 12 weeks to deliver so they'll last nicely until September. They were paid for within budget out of the wedding pot. Wedding spreadsheet updated
Chatted with a work colleague about wedding decorations. She is getting married this year and has made some lovely glittery jars for her table flower arrangements. I see a trip to Hobbycraft for PVA and glitter coming on!
My phone contract ended today so I've gone over to a sim only deal for the same minutes/ data which is £5 a month cheaper (£9.50 per month in total) :T
    All meals from stores
Listened to some free radio drama on the Radio 4 Extra website (Cadfael) :)
I started watching Dickensian on iPlayer last night as I hadn't had a chance to start watching it before. I'll watch some more episodes tonight
Must do some ironing and make my packed lunch for tomorrow

    Take care all
