That's the way to do it, CY :D
Pleased to hear good news of your nephew, Narc0.

I am still in my PJs, having slept on the sofa most of the day so far. I couldn't have done an hour non-stop on the Bird Watch! Did notice long tailed t*ts playing in the hazel catkins and a pair of robins dancing through the hellebores, but the birds haven't kept me awake. We live on the very edge of town, so usually find that if the weather is mild on survey day, they've all gone off to the hedgerows anyway.

We have had leftovers for lunch, and I'm about to shower and get dressed, then have another cuppa before we drive to Brum. The cold's given me a stuffy head, but I'm not coughing atm so I hope I can keep quiet in the concert.

Hope you feel better soon Iona and can enjoy the concert later.

Still not a lot done here. Chicken is cooked. Dogs are walked. TV has been watched.

Oh that sounds reassuring narc0 xx

Good to hear you're resting CY xx

I'm trying to have 10min down time but the kids are pestering me. Or each other. Can I put em to bed yet? Lol.

WM has finished an I ought to get up and sort it before it all creases, my coffee has gone cold and my nails look horrible. I feel "meh" and I know it's partly because I'm rushed off my feet, partly because Tuesday is D day at work, but I know I still won't have an answer, and partly because next Friday should be DHs 40th birthday.

I want a week off life, I think. (Don't we all?)

Kids have been to swimming lessons, and everything ready for school in the morning. I need to sort my stuff out although I've made some soup to flask up in the morning.

My weight is getting me down. I've put on 2lb and barely eaten since Wednesday - only really been having veggie soups - and hot drinks, with the odd small meal (eg today, had veggie sausage, free ones on SW and carrots and cauli).

Oh aren't I just a little ray of sunshine?

Hugs Bossy, some weeks are just meh.......

January has been such a mix of highs and lows. I have one high I can actually share - a new baby in the extended family this week. Can't wait to see what Feb brings, knowing that whatever it may be, the support on here will be fantastic as usual.

Washing is up to date, dogs are bathed. Floors not done, as they'd only get dirty again anyway, and DH is home, and as he doesn't do any housework when he's here, I'm not either.

Have a great evening everyone and I'll see you all on the new thread.

Narc0 glad gt-nephew's op went well; hopefully he'll make a full, swift recovery, and be able to get on with his life, free of the nasty tumour.

CY *waves from sofa* I'm having a rest-day, too; lupus-induced fatigue in my case. Annoying, but nowt I can do about it.

Bossy strength vibes to get you through what sounds like a trying week.

Anyone know how Dustykitten is? She doesn't seem to have posted for ages.

Bossy sounds to me like you aren't eating enough so you metabolism has gone into "oh god she's starving me I'd better slow down mode"
Hope you feel ok soon. Must be stressful with all the work worry on your plate especially not knowing for sure what's happening.
