I'm in. Thanks Bossy, and thanks for last week Natty. I gave up in the end after the fuses. I haven't even attempted to change the blown bulbs.
Actually, I lie. I cleaned the oven (its self cleaning so I just had to take the shelves out and put it on, then wipe it out!)
Instead I baked. I now have a carrot cake with frosting, and 2 malt loaves. Will have to take them to my meeting tomorrow as both DH and I are on a diet:D Its very unfair when I love baking.Goals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o0 -

Thank you to Bossy for the new thread and to Natty for last week's lists. I shall be doing minimal flying this week as I have a lot of meetings and appointments of various sorts - but the house is clean and mostly tidy, so it's really only a matter of keeping on top of it and periodically catching up with the washing
I am delighted to report that another thing has been crossed off my Toots List today. I finally plucked up courage to insert the CD-ROM in my computer, cross my fingers and hope that it would update my family tree program without any problems - it hasThat had been awaiting for my attention for almost 2 years, and I am extremely pleased to have done it, as I can now generate and print reports to go in the front of each file as I sort all my crate full of papers by individual and date rather than just by surname. If I had had to do this by hand, or even typing, it would never have got done.
Sorry you're feeling down, Dizzy - big (((hugs))).0 -
Thanks for threads, I'm in.
Congrats for new life Emmb
Happy vibes for all, welcome back Froddington hope things improve for you.
I'm doing the usual - making progress with reports, tidying office (got nice new filing boxes and binders are due to arrive tomorrow), house isn't too bad, washing etc up to date. Have been working out some exercises with my £2.49 Pilates bands, so I try and do those now and then.
Still trying to maximise moving and minimise eating; scales cautiously (not due to weigh till Wed) recording 5lb lost so far but I know it will fluctuate and I won't get stressy about it. Still being truthful to MyFitnessPal and seem to have not done too badly with the 2 meals out this weekend. The gym Mr N and I used to go to on a Monday eve has a few more zumba classes than mine I notice. He now feels well enough to re-join, after his "year off" so I may try more zumba as I love it. Sounds a bit mad, both of us belonging to 2 gyms each, one of which we both join - but 2 are very cheap and they are in different places offering different things!
I need to do a bit more clothes-culling having made a start.
Mr N painted a conservatory wall today, so we need to decide how to rearrange everything.
I didn't do too well sticking to last week's plan of doing at least one item from the 'proper' list, so I'm going to try again this week.
I also need to do a good check and backup through emails; my mum rang in a panic yesterday as some sort of virus ate up 3yrs worth of her emails  It tried sending one to me, but I managed to delete it without opening. I wish the people who invent these things would get a proper job using their considerable brain for something more useful. My mum's 85, does well on a computer for her age and really doesn't deserve that sort of treatment. End of rant.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -

..... shows face after not posting since August last year!:o
Might not have posted but always try and get a read of the current thread - this is usually done at libraries as my internet connection at home is usually worse than snail mail! That said, it seems to be a bit better this last week, so thought I'd risk it. So, thanks to Bossy, Natty and Dusty for all the lists.
Think I'll be doing my own thing this week - flat is in serious need of tlc. Don't know if any of you remember, but I got a job in May last year and it started off all right - however, I changed from evenings to mornings (I'm an early waker upper and it seemed to make more sense to do that) but all it's done has make my aches and pains worse. However, on Saturday, I made a start on the kitchen and although I didn't get as much done as would have been liked, what I did do, shows and has given me a good feeling and much encouragement, so will see what tomorrow brings ......
Pigpen, LW and CY - hope things go better for you and in general, sticks and spoons for anyone in need thereof.
Good night all:wave:0
