Collective Energy Switch Feb 2nd

Looks like existing British Gas Collective Fix December 2016 customers can switch over to the BG collective Fix February 2017 without paying £60 in exit fees and can get the £30 cashback. It's only available for dual fuel switches, which means you'll get £30 cashback. It's also open to existing British Gas and Sainsbury's Energy customers - you won't have to pay exit fees on your current BG/SE tariff and you'll still get the £30 cashback.
In my case it's £57pa cheaper (of which about £50 comes from the cheaper standing charges)
I've just switched to it. I wonder if I was first :rotfl:I came, I saw, I melted0 -
The gas is overpriced for me. All the savings are on the electric but I am not being given an electric only quote which works out £60 cheaper than the E.On Sep MSE fix.
Looking at my daughter's consumption she would save £132 electric only but £94 dual fuel, again moving just gas to EDF would save her £76 with no tie in.
Where is the electric only option - are they not offering this to anyone ?0 -
£5 a year more for me. Presently, with 2 suppliers with no exit fees. I will therefore pass, and wait for: the small suppliers to respond.0

Just log in to CEC, get an up to date comparison and there it is. Considerably cheaper than last year's big switch (£24pcm cheaper for me) and better than anything else I could find today, so I've gone for it.0

I'm on eon v19. Maybe they'll respond with a v20.0
-
I am with Eon v 19 new offer apparently saves me £29 + £30 cash back and gives me an extra 1 month fix.
However leaving would mean £60 exit fee.
So £1 worse off and with BG, means a big no thanks.0 -
Eon seem to be better for customer service as well0

Really cheap electricity, with slightly more expensive gas.
MSE BG Collective Fix February 2017
Gas 2.846p per kWh
Electricity 8.537p per kWh
Exit Fee: £30 per fuel = £60
E.On Fixed 1 Year v19 Online
2.781p
10.122p
Exit Fee: £30 per fuel = £60
Scottish Power Online Fixed Price Energy November 2016
2.674p
11.022p
no exit fee applies
I will carry on with the SP 2.674p gas until the winter is over.
The SP January 2018 two year fix is looking very interesting.
Comes April 2016, the successor product should be fixed to March 2018, covering two winters. The good bit is, no exit penalty, so it's no big deal switching back to a cheaper one year fix, if it comes along. :j0
