Next Faulty Sofa

Hi, first of all sorry if this is in the incorrect place.
I bought a sofa and cuddle chair from Next and took delivery of it in October 2015. At the beginning of December I emailed them to complain about the fabric going bobbly. It looked years old already.
Anyhow, the telephoned me within minute and said they are aware that fabric is bobbling and gave me three options. 1) exchange for another sofa 2) take a discount on the sofa but then it can't be returned 3) return for a refund.
I said I would think about it... I went away and then Xmas was upon us. So I eventually called back up to say I would be returning and they agreed I could find another one elsewhere, get delivery date and then arrange the return for the same day. All very reasonable...
So since then, I have been looking and looking but can't find one I want! Or that matches my newly decorated living room which was done around the sofa.
My bigger problem is that I am limited by size since I have an awkward doorway and also The biggest obstacle is I paid for the sofa on my credit card, which now does not have enough of a balance to buy a new one, before I get the refund.
Ive been stressing over the situation, since surely I'm on a time limit to return so I decided to call them to see what discount they would offer and it's only 10%! It's really not worth keeping it in its current state for only 10% off.
So as a last resort I'm posting here for any advice.... I can't afford to buy a replacement but don't want to exchange for another of their sofas! I'm at a loss....

Just to add. I really don't want to be around 12 weeks without a sofa whilst mine goes back, I get the refund and then wait for another one. I probably would have accepted 30% discount and kept the sofa only a couple of years.
Is it worth asking for further discount? After all it's not like they will be able to sell the sofa on so they will have still had 70% of the sale.0 -

Have you considered asking friends/family if they have any seats you could borrow in the meantime and/or had a look on freecycle to see if anyone is throwing one away thats not completely bogging that may do for a few weeks until your new one arrives? You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0

Ok, just sent an email to them. Here's hoping...0

I think the retailer is being reasonable, more so considering they have given you several options - more often than not you get offered a repair and that's it.
Might be a pain but you could take a refund then buy something else. When we bought our first house all we had was two camping chairs. Even when we did get a sofa it was given to us by my in laws and if was one of the most uncomfortable sofas I had sat on but beggars can't be choosers.0 -
Next are offering a full refund which is surely the best option? A bigger discount is still leaving you with a bobbly sofa which is your complaint in the first place. If it's as bad as you say now what's it going to look like in a further few months? Get some temporary chairs in until you have sourced a new sofa.0

Being without any sofa was what I really wanted to avoid. I have considered buying a cheap eBay put me on or ask around but I will still have to pay to get it delivered etc.
I really don't want to keep it but the first one we ordered wouldn't fit through the door (measurements seemed fine but it's an awkward angle to bring it in) so this has put me off when looking for another.
I don't consider myself a beggar since I paid good money for a sofa from a reputable retailer. I guess that's the problem, it was meant to be just what I wanted. Not a put me on. For me buying a sofa is not an easy choice.0 -
Why not get a 0% interest credit card, buy a new sofa on that and then repay the card when you get the sofa delivered/ refund from Next?0
