    Until it happens to YOU, it's all just stuff that happens to other people.

    Only people that've been laid off can see the other side of the coin and realise they're not immune.

    It's why we cross the street - other people get run over, not us.
    It's one reason I'd never commit so such a big loan purchase. Buy things I can afford so if things go belly up then I'm not landed with massive unaffordable debts.

    OP, hope you get it sorted but £750 does sound like a reasonable amount in the circumstances and if you have the money sitting there I'd just clear the payment with them and move on.


    If you have the 3 year service plan you may still be able to use the remaining time on it?
