Government Regulations for off street parking

You would like to think so, but we are talking about the government, and their first port of call will probably be to liaise with the BPA!
Probably right but even the government must see that the BPA have fast become a useless organisation. And as far as the Red Cow lane mobsters are concerned, they started with no credibility and that remains.
The next stage is the petition to get a real regulator like the Traffic Penalty Tribunal, signatures are now up to 8,161 and the 10,000 target will be reached before the reform comes into place.0 -
If the government really want to bring PPCs inline with councils then the use of ANPR cameras for parking infringements should be banned. Councils are not allowed to use them , so why should PPCs have that dubious privilege?
Time after time this equipment has proved to be unreliable, with motorists being blamed for things they have not done. The "NotoMob" website has a whole list of ANPR errors on their forum. The latest one is here:-

There is not too much wrong with the current codes of practice, but do these cowboys stick to them, do they heckers like.
So enforcing the cop's would be a start, but this government will do bot all, but old Davy Cammyballs. and the rest who are a of the waste of a good skin will be able to say they has tackled the problem and everything is hunky dory

Giving advice to Observer readers earlier this year, lawyer Patrick McGuire of Thompsons Solicitors said: “There are two things which parking companies need to prove up here.
“Firstly, they have to prove you were driving. They are not allowed to hold the registered owner accountable and there is no onus on the keeper to reveal who was driving."
Oops. Silly Patrick. Is is something to do with the name?Dedicated to driving up standards in parking0 -
All you get are questions to answer before you can read the article, gave up after 3 questions.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0
