  • Last shop of the month was delivered last night. :) All ready to make it to Monday.

Next shop will be in March...this month has flown by!

Signature is updated, I'll just check hubby's wallet before I declare in case he's stopped and grabbed anything sneaky this week.

    Woop woop! :T

nds again yesterday, not going to lie i have missed the bargain hunting though! x
  • Just a bit of topping up today of fruit and veg and I've finished for February and am thrilled to bits to have come in at £272.50 :) This thread has really helped me keep on track.
Until I joined this forum I'd been spending over £500.00 a month!! I have NO idea how, there are only two of us and a Border terrier here so that's a huge saving towards our holiday.
I took the whole £300.00 out in cash at the beginning of February and started a separate housekeeping purse. Someone, on another thread here I think, suggested it as a way forward. I'd not done that before, I tended to just use the cards when shopping, and am a bit stunned at how thrifty I got over the month.
But I'd say we've eaten a lot better, with tons of fruit and veggies so that's an added bonus for us both. The menu planning was a godsend. Plus the freezer is now reorganised and I know what's in there for the first time for many months.
I just wish I'd read the forum properly when I first joined it - I'd be a millionaire by now:rotfl:
  • I did a bit of a rejig of our grocery budget as DH was spending a fortune on crap from the corner shop so I've made him take that out of his personal budget not our grocery one! Total for the month so far including pet food/litter is £246.47 which brings us slightly under budget with just one day to go until payday. Hooray!
    Savings target: £25000/£25000

I've been shopping and updated signature. A lot of what I bought is for the first week of next months challenge. I shop at the end of the week and as I'm under budget decided to write my meal plan and make things easier.

    See you in March.

  • Hi
£10 for DD out with a friend.
Just been toting up in my little book on where the cash has gone.
The actual domestic and pet stuff not too bad.
The dreaded 'other' was an eye opener! DH on board so we'll start being more aware let's say for next month and try and set a budget.
    Keep safe and warm
