Hairy my local town a has had a lot of filming done in recent years. BBC and ITV studios are only a few miles away.We have an Art Deco theatre in my town and that was used in Peaky Blinders. There was a series called Last Tango in Halifax…….some of the scenes were nowhere near Halifax but my local town….as was one called Scarborough a couple of years ago - the hairdressers shop was in my town nowhere near Scarborough, last time I was near there before Christmas, it’s still as it was - so not sure if there might be another series of it.But the best view of my town is in the opening scenes of The Stranger on Netflix…..the view over the old church and glass market hall. It looked much better on tv than reality. They have just filmed Steve Coogan as Jimmy Saville in my local park with him walking around the duck ponds…..not sure which Chanel it’s for but it hasn’t been aired yet….I’m not convinced I want to watch that one - even if it is filmed up the road.January spends - £587.582

Your town is popular for filming ☺. Not many things have been filmed in my town, although my local NT house has been in a Jane Austin film (can't remember which one) and Alice in Wonderland (the Tim Burton film) was filmed at another NT place near to me. My actual town though I can't think of anything filmed here, which is strange because it's actually quite scenic and unusual in places. I don't think they can be bothered to drive down this far as the transport links are appalling in Devon. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Mr Darcy walked out the lake in my local NT place in Pride and Predudice. It’s because the studios are so close to here I suppose. The series The Mill a few years back was filmed and based on some stories of my other local one. I think the mill is my favourite NT place 👍January spends - £587.582

Hmmm, you’d better not be keeping him all for yourself 😁 The adaptation with Colin firth was the very best. I watched it again recently and loved that Gavins mum from Gavin & Stacey was Mrs Bennett. Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

The estate agents I used to work in was used for a TV series called The Prodigal many years ago. The area it’s in is very like Pimlico in London apparently. It was quite funny how they made the shots look like London to those who wouldn’t know, very crafty. We had to hide behind the scenes while they filmed and they had to halt filming at one stage because I was peering through a little window in a door and was making an inadvertent guest appearance 🤣🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4
