Thanks everyone.I went to SW this morning and lost 1/2……tbh I’m not quite sure how as I’ve had a very nibbly week as I was wound up about the DWP assessment. Maybe my 2 walks helped a bit. I’ve booked a weeks holiday next week as we will be away in Bristol.
I met Dh in a cafe with his ukulele friends and had a cuppa and chat with some of the people who I am getting to know. Twas very nice…..then Dh treated me to a spoons dinner. I was very good and had a delicious steak, jacket and salad. So tea will just be the leek and potato soup I’ve been threatening to make all week.We visited Dunelm and bought a mattress topper for the motorhome bed which we both found very hard. This should both protect and make it a tad more comfortable for us.
I feel as if I’ve got a travelling pain going around me. My wrist is a lot better but it’s moved to under my shoulder blade since I had a sleepless night the other night…..it’s driving me mad. I found some heat pads but it doesn’t seem to have made much difference. 😏 I feel as if I’m always moaning 😳
I spent £10 in the butchers…..making £48 for the month so far.January spends - £587.583 -
We added a memory foam mattress topper to Milo's bed as soon as we got it. It is super comfy.1

This is a memory foam one too RS. The contrast to our too soft bed mattress to the very firm van mattress is just a tad too much. I’m definitely looking forward to getting away in Millie. We are staying in Caravan and motorhome sites….Morton in the Marsh for a night then onto Bristol. It looks as though there is a ferry from the site into town…..hopefully it runs out of season. We might venture into Bath but will see how it all pans out. It’s a pity you’re confined to barracks…..hopefully you don’t get it and Mr RS doesn’t suffer too much. We keep playing with the idea of a little trailer so we can take the car but that’ll be a decision much further down the line once we’ve got a few more trips under our belt….January spends - £587.582

We have a night booked there for on our way back from the Isle of Wight.2 -
£10 spent today so I’m up to £58 for the month….I’m more than happy with that as were half way through now 😁
We went out for a ride and short walk this afternoon. We had intended going to a NT place not far from here but we go there a lot sowent on a magical mystery tour. We’d watched the series Close to You recently and there was a statue of a big head. It’s in a park we’ve passed many times on the motorway but we’ve never stopped so said we’d head there. Then we changed our minds again and headed to the seaside about an hour away…..technically an estuary but virtually sea at this stage. We stopped en route at a delicious ice cream place. I had Parma Violet flavoured ice cream…..it tasted just like the sweets…..twas a tad strange in an ice cream though and I’m not sure I’d have it again. There is a little marine lake at the seaside place, we had a walk around that, but the actual sea beyond the lake was nowhere to be seen. I took a photo and quite liked the reflection of the sky in the water. We’d taken a flask of home made leek and potato soup and bought a Morrison’s meal deal sandwich to go with it….so it didn’t break the bank 👍😁 6000 steps done, I didn’t want to do too much as I’m still having a bit of trouble with my shoulder blade.A good unexpected day out 😁👍

It sounds like a good day ☺. What a lovely photo 😍. I watched that series and thought the big head looked very interesting to visit. I've added it to my list of places to visit. I've seen the Angel of the North now, but I want to see the Kelpies and the big head now. Does the big head have a name?

I presume it does but I don’t know what it is Hairy. I know it’s in a park by the side of the motorway between us and Liverpool. A lot of the series was filmed around these parts. A cafe around the corner to my old work was in it and there were a lot of places we recognised. We did chuckle as places they had next to each other were in fact in completely different towns.I’ve just googled it and the statue is called Dream 👍January spends - £587.582

. I've never heard of Dream before seeing the Harlan Coban series but it looked interesting so now I want to go there. It's always fun spotting local places on the telly.
