Rebecca is coming to Netflix soon 👍 That’s if you like Daphne de Maurier. Rebecca is one of my absolute favourites of all time. Some good spooky ones coming soon too in time for Halloween 🎃I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

Fervently awaiting Rebecca as it's my all time favourite novel! Just hoping they don't ruin it like they have with some the Poirots lately.......Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Looking forward to Rebecca.
It’s taken me all day to empty the sideboard- the amount of alcohol in there is unbelievable- not sure how it’s accumulated but I only have wine every now and then I found 3 bottles of Baileys 😳😳 I quite like a glass at Christmas then don’t bother with it. If I’d a mind to I could be a very merry Milann 🤪🤪🍻 Ive not bought much of this unless it’s been in a meal deal - all presents.......
The builder has messaged me saying he’ll be here at 8 in the morning and can he have some cash to buy materials- I have no problem with this as it’s only a fraction of the quote....but I can’t get to the bank and ds is working until 6. He gave me his bank details last time he did work for us but it came up with a warning saying it hadn’t been recognised- he said he’s never had a problem before....so all I can do is go to the cash machine and get what we can between us....then go again tomorrow.
I've just had a consultation with the consultant who is doing the hip injection for me and sent me for all the scans on my hip last year. I told him what had happened and he won’t touch me for a while yet. He was going to do it at the end of October but said I’m not up to it atm. He said he’ll ring me next month to see how I am....he is really lovely.
Which is more than I can say for my gp surgery. My sick note runs out a week today. I phoned up to find how I get a renewal. They made me feel so guilty.....I know they have to ask questions but WHY do I always feel like I’m spinning a yarn....I’m obviously not. I think maybe it’s me rather than them. Anyway I have to ring after 2 next Monday to see if it’s ready.......how much notice do they need 😡😡 Work aren’t impressed as they don’t know how long I’ll be off......it’s not even as if they’re covering me - everyone is covering the children between them.... I wish I could just book an appointment to talk to a real doctor but that’s not happening atm.
What a moany post. Sorry.
on a positive note
I went to see ds yesterday and wasn’t as tired or sore as 2 weeks ago 😄
I have managed to put some washing in the washer and drier 😄
Even though it’s taken all day — I’ve emptied the sideboard 😄

You sound like me re the booze - I have loads of spirits in one of the kitchen cupboards - it's been there for ages - I can't remember when I last touched any of it - my friends tend to drink wine so I keep a few bottles of in the fridge and a bottle of vodka in the freezer as that's my usual tipple spirits wise. But apart from the Baileys when I'm wrapping my Xmas pressies, I don't drink on my own.Re the builder's bank details, the banks tightened up on bank details recently. Before, as long as you had the correct sort code and account number you could often get away with just using the correct initial and surname of whoever you wanted to transfer funds to, i.e Mr J Bloggs. Now you have to have the exact account name - so if Mr Bloggs' full account name is Mr James John Fred Bloggs you have to enter it correctly or the transfer gets rejected. So it might be the case with your builder.Bah to your GP - he sounds as useful as a chocolate teapot 😡, but hooray for the lovely consultant!👍.Great to read your positives!😀Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Consultant sounds lovely, unlike your GP surgery. Ours used to be brilliant but since they've been taken over they've got useless. I'm another one who likes a Baileys while wrapping Christmas presents, I just buy a miniature bottle as I find it quite sickly nowadays. I used to love Baileys and would buy a litre bottle every Christmas but have lost my taste for it, good job really as it's full of calories with all that cream.
Glad you're improving and managing to get some bits done, heading in the right direction.

Thanks - the builder came at 8 am promptly and started in a different part of the kitchen to what we’d expected and what he’d discussed.....we hadn’t emptied those cupboards.....the plan was to do those tonight 😏So we all set to and emptied them before dh went to work. That’s me done in for the day.
We nipped to the cash machine last night and got him half of what he’d asked for between us and he’s happy with that - we will do the same tonight. Normally I’d have nipped into the branch and got what he’d asked for but there’s no way at the minute. They have worked so hard so far and it’s already unrecognisable.
I've taken refuge upstairs with my iPad and tv. Last time I visited or went out with various friends to get out of the way but there’s no way I can do that this time with lockdown 😡😡 I know we need to stay safe but it’s so annoying- better than getting ill - need to keep telling myself that.January spends - £587.581 -
SA that’s what has happened with our surgery - they have merged with another surgery and don’t run half as efficiently as they used to do.January spends - £587.581
