I’ve just had an amazing afternoon tea delivered from a friend. Sandwiches, clotted cream, jam and scones plus a couple of kinds of cake. We’d just eaten dinner too so the salmon we’d taken out for tea can stay in the fridge for tomorrow and we’ll have it for tea. Lol we hadn’t heard anyone knock and dh nearly stood on it putting the bins out 😳😂😂

We’ve been friends since we were 5.....best part of 57 years 😱😳😂😂😂😂😂😂 HOW did THAT happen......
We had most of it for tea but there was too much cake so we’ve got more to come tomorrow. It’s just a pity with the lockdown she couldn’t join us.

Baby steps and all that...I’ve just been promoted from daily district nurse visits to every other day 😄😄😄 it’s finally beginning to heal a bit better 🍻

Dd sent me some cardigans for my birthday...both form M&S one fitted perfectly the other one buried me.......different styles. So we’ve just been to the big M&S about 3 miles away. It’s an out of town complex where you can park right outside. I found a different cardigan and did a straight swap - we didn’t even look around at anything else. We weren’t out of the house an hour and I’m ready for a sleep.....shattered.com. I’ve got a couple of nice warm cardigans now though ready for winter 😄

Good news about the nurse coming less frequently . I'm glad your wound is healing better.
Recovering from illness does make you weak as your body is focused on healing your wound and that leaves no energy for your legs and arms, etc.
Good news that you have two warm cardigans now.

Well my reduced visit from the nurses didn’t last long. The nurse who came yesterday and suggested every other day, phoned this afternoon and said he’d made a mistake and after reading my notes, I need to continue every day. Apparently there is still 5 cm under the surface of the scar that isn’t healing as quickly as it should.......so he came this afternoon and changed and packed it again.....
I had a lovely lazy morning though....bacon butties and Saturday morning tv in bed. There was no need to get up early in case the nurses arrived.....or so we thought.
Just watching something called Life.....I’m undecided...
