😡😡 Nurse has been and changed the dressings and has emailed GP saying I need the prescription urgently, I’ve phoned GP too......apparently the prescription was sent to my chemist yesterday but nobody bothered to tell me 🤔🙄😡 Dh has just gone to pick it up for me.
On the local news it looks as if we are in lockdown again but I can’t see anything official on line that says when it starts.....not looking good to see the gks 😢January spends - £587.581 -

I’m absolutely gutted. I was really looking forward to seeing the children....they’d secretly planned to bake me a birthday cake for a surprise and were very excited about keeping the secret 😢😢
We only cancelled the restaurant yesterday too....so now we can’t see dd and gks and can’t go to Tom Kerridge either 😡😡
I’m not sure I’d have been up to it though 😢January spends - £587.582 -

So we’re having a zoom birthday party instead. Gks made a cake at their house and ds is bringing a cake here and we can blow the candles out together. Not the same as seeing them but it is what it is 😏 it could be a lot worse I suppose.I had some lovely flowers from a friend this morning. Her hubby had a bad stroke a couple of years ago now and is now in a care home. It still upsets me when I think about him. She hasn’t been able to see him since March but has done a couple of zoom calls. They are only allowed to zoom on certain days and it’s his birthday tomorrow- he is 10 years and a day older than me. It isn’t a zoom day so she can’t even wish him happy birthday on his special day. The world has gone mad.....at least I’ll be able to see ds as we are a bubble. I know they’re busy and have to stick to timetables but it’d take half an hour at the very most. He probably isn’t that aware but my friend is 😢 and is heartbroken she can’t wish him happy birthday and anniversary which is also some time this week 😢 We might all be protected from the virus but at what cost to out mental health.......January spends - £587.581

Milann I'm so sorry you've been so ill and have had such a serious operation 😟. My SIL has ulcerative colitis and has terrible tummy troubles, so I have some inkling of what you've been through recently. I hope you feel better soon (although I know it takes time) and get that pesky thush sorted too, it never rains but it pours. Make sure you rest and let DH pamper you.
It's such a shame about your local lockdown too so that you couldn't see your family 😥. I hate what this virus is doing to families. I think it would a be a good idea for you to retire early if you can afford to. I know you enjoy your job but it's very active and tiring work and you need to put your health first.
I'm sorry I've been awol from your diary for so long. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Lovely to hear from you Hairy.
So at 3 o clock we FaceTimed dd. I know it’s not my birthday until Monday but gks baked the cake yesterday in readiness to bring with them today....and the excitement was overflowing and there’s no way they’d have waited until Monday.....so at 3 pm we all lit our candles - ds baked a cake and brought it with him. I blew my candles and they blew the candles at their end. It was actually lovely- we chatted for an hour. It all fell a bit flat afterwards so I suggested a trip to the local Wspoons.... in retrospect I’m pleased I didn’t go to Tom Kerridges place. I had gammon chips and eggs and ate about 6 chips, 1/2 the egg and the gammon. We were in there just short of an hour and it’s only a 10 minute drive - I’m absolutely shattered - I don’t think I’d have managed the posh restaurant- we will book again in a couple of weeks. We have to watch the vouchers don’t run out though. We’ve got until the beginning of December to use them.
I’ve just been reading my old diaries....talk about catalogue of disasters.....one illness after another annnddd I didn’t ever think I’d get debt free - but I did and I’ve got an emergency pot I never envisaged. So although I’m recovering things could always be a lot worse.
I’m planning a lazy day tomorrow after my outing today.
I’ve just been onto the builder so hopefully a week on Monday work will commence 👍January spends - £587.583
