    Morning all
babysitting last night was lovely, but little man doesn't seem to need much sleep, finally got him of at about 10.15!!!
Aaahhhh, mrs-mp, the joys of grandparenting! My DGS4 (aged 10 months) has just learnt to sleep through the night, but that involves getting up at 5.30 am. By the time they've come to stay with us, the older ones have generally slept until 6.30 or later.

Off to a meeting this morning (I always look forward to these particular ones) and then DH and I are going out for lunch and hopefully a walk :) Haven't checked the ensuite ceiling yet, but keeping my fingers crossed!

Catch up later = breakfast is served x

We are swimming shortly and meeting friends for a cuppa. Then home until 3 so hope to clear a lot of the list! Unless I end up having another nap! Lol!

Well we all have snot this morning.. including me, AGAIN!!! My chest feels like it is stuffed with feathers and has a hippo sat on it.. I hate colds.. this is number 6 I think, since September.. I think everyone needs a dose of vitamins!!! (I ofc can't take any that contain iron to I'm screwed anyway lol)

As for sleep... mine don't and the smallest grandbeast doesn't.. I've only had grandbeasts stay with their parental controllers.. Pixie has gone to bed earlier the last couple of nights.. in my bed.. time to ditch the cot I think because I cannot carry on like this my neck hurts and I've had feet in my ear or the back of my neck all night.. if she has a bed I can send OH to sleep in there with her ;). I kind of wish we had a double bed in the girls room so they could sleep together as it is Squeak is going to have to go on the top bunk which I'm not hugely happy with but she will be delighted!

OH's sister rang on Wednesday and asked if she could come over with his mother for 1 day at half term and he said we were under the impression she was coming for a couple of days. His sister said no she is definitely not doing that.. anyway his mum rang yesterday to ask if she can come tues-thurs of half term ... His sister is doing her utmost to keep OH and his mother separate isn't she? I'm not imagining this am I? it is every time we are going there or his mother is coming here she creates a drama all about her. Of course this is just between us.. I did ask OH about it a while ago and he just said he wouldn't be surprised.. I just think it is mean and selfish and childish..

I'm hoping to get the front and neckband of this cardy finished today.. and just the sleeves to do over the weekend.. I hate doing sleeves, I usually do them first!

    urgh.. raining on my washing...

Morning all. I'm going to put the laptop in the kitchen and catch up with some TV while I get jobs done out there. I use DD's laptop as mine starts sulking when streaming stuff for more than 30min and she wants to take it with her tonight so I want to be as caught up as possible. :o

The house is a mess throughout (mainly stuff needing to be put away or jobs half done), and needs cleaning properly throughout...and I want it done, except laundry and any paperwork/computer bits, by 2pm so I have time to jump in the shower and put clean clothes on before DD gets home from school. I've been wearing the same cleaning clothes for 3 days now as I don't want to be getting bleach on my every day stuff. :o Its currently heavy rain which has put pay to my washing curtains/quilts until later when its supposed to brighten up. We'll wait and see what happens though.

Right, off to spray some demoulder on some patches in the bathroom I missed then into the kitchen to deal with that mess! Not even going to attempt HHC today, I'm just going to keep going with breaks when I need them.

LW hope you're OK after assessment - that person sounds like a right bully which is wrong on so many levels. Sending a gentle hug to you .... sorry it's a bit late :o

Pigpen lovely hearts you're doing there! You're not alone re not enjoying knitting sleeves either - I hate them. I'm doing a poncho right now so no sleeves ;) Can't believe you've got another cold, that's just not fair.

Nicki good luck with the demoulder. I attacked mine yesterday with some bleach and warm water as the window reveal was shocking. It did help but is far from perfect.

Jazee hope your visit to the vets with OldDog goes OK.

MinnieMM hope your interview goes well next week, fingers crossed.

School run done in the pouring rain; Whiz was not impressed I took him with me but he hasn't been out since Tuesday when he got bitten. Mr M delivery was 8.00 so that's all put away and WM almost finished so will be able to put that up on my wooden airer over the stairs. Going to strip Z's bed - if it was left to her she's never change the bedding, mucky little thing she is! Only did S's the other day so that's fine. Found out why S doesn't like the new mattress and it's because he doesn't want to let go of the old one. This morning he told me if we cut a bit off the old mattress and stuck it on the new one it might make the new one more comfy and I'd have my memories. Oh dear. I think we need to get some help with that - he finds it really hard to let go of things. Hmmm, sounds a bit like his father doesn't he!

Off to Relate at 1.45 so would appreciate more wonderful Flylady vibes for that please; I'll let you know how it goes. It's our first proper couples session so should be interesting .....

    Morning!

Dripping wet here and I'm contemplating popping out for party bits :(

Just done a hhc where I tidied and vacced all downstairs - just binned the flowers I bought on Xmas eve! Lasted 4 weeks!!! So we are tidy and undusty and the vac can go upstairs this aft.

Will catch up with bathroom and kids rooms but probably vac all round:)

Need to do DS cake tomorrow - we are busy Sunday and then of course back at school/work/college so it's the last chance really. I'm only working half a day on Wednesday so will have a couple of hours in the afternoon to get ready for tea party. But I'd rather get the cake done so I know whether I need to buy one or not!!! :rotfl:

Did an online shop last night with party food and other bits so I think we are organised. I've planned the time down to the minute so as to keep this bundle of 7yr old boys out of mischief!

Right, anorak and off I go!

  • I have had a very rough week. I felt absolutely vile on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Today I have all the signs of a cold, but I feel a bit brighter.

Hospital phoned this morning. Surgery is next Thursday.

Hope the cold is better by then...

Oh hugs CY really hope all goes well next week, you must be so worried. I hope everyone is rallying round with support for you xxx

I've been for party bits and then headed upstairs with the vac and bathroom cleaner. All done, except some washing to put away. Also did another laundry load and will do more after school.

Printed out my homework and sorted my folder, and now just had dinner and a cuppa. I'm going to relax for a while now I think.

I might clean the downstairs loo before the school run...
