    Morning all.

Love, posivibes and big (((hugs))) to CY.
Voice returning and UTI disappearing vibes to pigpen.
MMM, no you're not being unreasonable to expect your DH to do his bit for the family (not just for you).
    Mumof2, keep strong!
Glad to hear that Old Dog is healing, Jazee.
Happy party day to bossy and the little Moos.

DH and I had a pleasant day out yesterday. the meeting I went to was very productive, and although it poured with rain all morning, the sun came out as DH picked me up and we drove to a NT property for a quick lunch and a very pleasant walk. I feel a lot better today for having topped up my Vit D.

I spent yesterday evening booking flights to Germany for a conference weekend at the end of April. I'm obviously out of practice - it took me hours to research all the different routes and options. In the end I've gone for the simplest option and cheapest flights, rather than add a couple of days on for sightseeing (DH will be away for a full week). It means I shall not need much luggage and can manage with a 10 kg cabin case, and will enjoy some time to myself at home for uninterrupted reading!

Nearly overslept thsi morning, but we managed to get into town by 9.00 for separate breakfast meetings. Now I must re-spray the ensuite ceiling - yes, the water stain is still showing through :( - and the clean downstairs and start preparing food for this evening, when we have more friends coming round. One day we might receive an invitation to go to someone else's house on a Saturday night!

Hope everyone has an enjoyable Saturday x

I once again have DOGS!!:T:T:T Patsy and Pandora have arrived for a 16 day stay, so I guess Flying will be whatever I can fit round their requirements.;)

And despite all the horrible business trying to get PIP, I can report that regarding my ESA claim, common sense has prevailed and they have once again assigned me to the Support group.:T

One of the plans for tomorrow is for Mr LW to assist me to dust properly - ie lift the large Dragons down so that they can be done thoroughly, not just flicked at with an old paintbrush!

Sending general "bu88er-off" vibes for all man-flu, woman-flu, UTI's, sore throats, gippy tummies, and sinister nasties (thinking of CY there of course).
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Ensuite ceiling stain sprayed and repainted
All decorating materials washed and put away
All dust cloths shaken outdoors, folded and put away
    Ensuite cleaned thoroughly
Food prepped for tonight - DH did the spuds :A
    Butternut squash oup made
Amazing mini Yorkshire puds baked - mine don't normally rise very well, but these nearly hit the top of the oven :rotfl:
Luscious gooey Black Forest roulade baked, filled and now chilling (are you drooling, Honey Bear? :p)
    Beef in oven
    Table laid
    Kitchen floor steam mopped
Everything else ready to finish off in about 20 minutes' time, so I'm just enjoying a cuppa and a catch-up before I go and change back into my tidy clothes.

I prefer to make roast dinner on a Saturday night because I never have as much time on Sundays!

Yes, Ionafan, I am. You're welcome here any Saturday evening.

    (((hugs))) CY.

Thank you so much for letting us know the outcome of that hideous assessment, Lamewolf, and how lovely that you've got canine company! Happy days.

I've zapped around the place and smartened it all up in time for the new lodger's arrival with her parents. Superking turned around, carpets sucked, shower room and kitchen s/and/s'd, dining room hauled back into a slapdash semblance of tidy, dog gibble tidied away, huge pieces of laundry run through the TD so it wasn't festooned, soggily, around the place making it look like a Chinese laundry and washing up done. I know the cat and dog passed muster; I hope I did. OH was tidied away to the footie. He didn't complain.
    Better is good enough.

Glad you've got some canine company LW
Just about caught up on the washing, cleared the floordrobe, done a CS run, taken ds2 to a open day for a 6th form college, quickly fed everyone just grabbing a quick shower then to to watch ds1 singing at a pub in town, he's getting quite a name locally and has a few 'gigs' lined up.

  • Oh you must be proud of him MrsMP. Glad you have doggie company LW.

Well its been an interesting day. I was washing the dogs paws after our walk and someone knocked on the door. This resulted in the dog tearing around the place with wet muddy feet. Then I used my handheld vac and it came apart dropping more mess than I had hoovered up. I got the big hoover out and somehow managed to knock over the vase of flowers on the kitchen table with the cable. Then I went to make tea and discovered that the drain hole in the fridge was blocked and everything on the bottom shelf was swimming in water. At that point I gave up.

So as you can see I dont really feel like I have achieved a lot. Its been fairly bright out but the washing hasnt dried at all so that is now in the tumbler. Resting now with a glass of wine and the last of the Christmas chocs.

£39 in ebay sales tonight.. must get some more stuff on, I just have zero time! I don't seem to ever achieve anything but I never seem to stop.. and it appears I have developed an allergy to something new.. my hands are itching like crazy things.. its driven me mad for weeks.. I have no idea what it is either which is really not helping!

2 loads of washing done and one bunch through the dryer.. that's the lot for today.

I'm just fed up of nothing getting any better and everything being a struggle.. and feeling ill.. I am so sick of feeling ill.

and now I'm going to bed before I feel any worse.. hopefully the voice will be a bit better tomorrow.. :)
