Mumof2- sounds like you had a productive meeting and the format of having joint meetings, individual ones and then joint ones again sounds like a really good idea!

CY- what a rubbish week for you. Hope you are soon feeling better and good luck for next week!

Dance mum- well done on the frog munching!

Finally finished the bathroom and made a massive pot of chilli. (4 family meals and 4 kiddie portions are now in the freezer for when they are needed). Didn't manage to make the cake but aim to do that first thing in the morning! Also sat and sorted through a massive tin of felt tip pens and crayons! The kids were colouring so I threw all the ones that no longer worked and sharpened all the crayons. I have now organised them into little cups and thrown the tin. They look so much better!

  • Its been another busy day so I am just going to update my list and then head to bed. Rant time (sorry) Well today was rounded off with an argument with dh, I'm trying to get him to take some responsibility for paying bills, cleaning, order weekly food and getting a reasonable job so he can bring in enough to cover at least close to half the bills (he works just over part time), Am I being unreasonable?

Vacuum mattress before replacing with fresh linen, air the bed if possible

27 fling boogie time, time for that midweek fling, go on grab a bag and clear that clutter
Check the airing cupboard, anything that is way past it's use by (maybe recycle for rags if possible, you could donate old sheets or towels to a local animal rescue for bedding)

My flying this week has been limited to calling housekeeping to ask where my laundry is... (have just had to do this for the second time this trip...) and the odd bit of handwashing.

I'm sure the dust is busy settling nicely at home ready for my return though...

Morning all. Been up since stupid o'clock again, but glad to report that OldDog is healing nicely.

    CY - thinking of you.
Mumof2 - glad the sessions are going well.
Bossy -hope all your plans come together nicely and the party bags turn up.
MMM - no you're not being unreasonable. Everyone needs to pull their weight. It can't be 50/50 on everything but should be fair.

Can anyone guess that I've taken Ionafan's advice and written a list of what's happening to who as I've been reading!

Today I am going out with DD and her BF to do a BIG shop so about to check prices on line before stepping out of the door.

Flying will be dailies I think.

    Have a great day everyone.
Spend less now, work less later.

  • Morning everyone

MMM I have similar issues with my DH. He is self employed and works about 25-30 hours a week. He could work more (there is no shortage of work) but he chooses not to. His argument is that he spends virtually nothing on himself. He never goes to the pub, never buys clothes or gadgets expect with Christmas or birthday money, doesnt have an expensive hobby etc etc. At the moment I accept this because we are managing financially (but relying on benefits that we get for DS1) so things may change and then there could be problems. He also does very little in the house, although we have a couple of DIY projects on the go at the moment and he is working hard on those. I kind of think that you should both be happy with what you bring to a relationship, whether thats financially, emotionally or practically.

Came downstairs this morning and thought "what happened to my house!" its a mess so I will be on the warpath in a bit. Everyone else asleep so I am having a brew and a look at the finance spreadsheets first.

    Morning all.

I'm going to get on with some cleaning jobs this morning, then have a nice hot shower. I also need to re-flip my mattress. I discovered last night that the reason I'd flipped it over is it had gotten so uncomfortable. Oh well, new mattress for me is bumped up to top of the list of things to buy from ar90s, but not until the current balance on my card is paid off!

Not sure what I'm doing this afternoon. I was supposed to be going out with a friend but they're not feeling so good today so those plans may be cancelled. Think I might veg out in front the TV and have a movie-athon with some popcorn like I was originally planning :)

    Personal:
    Set up & organise planners
    Sort stickers (1cm square)
    Laundry - throws, darks,
    Ironing
    NYCP
    Book dentists
New Cold Callers sign for the door.
Demould hall (incl front door), livingroom, kitchen :(
February, March, April calenders - remember school dates!
Wash livingroom curtains, my quilt, DD's quilt,
    Iron blinds

    Work:
Thur/Fri: Get cards prepped for Monday.
Email ASM for confirmation of territory (I'm sure I have the other side of the road but I want to check first!)
    Accounts (C18, 1, 2, 3)

    Manic Monday - Kitchen
    Level One

Clean floor - vacuumed, mopped but it needs scrubbing
    Level Two
Clean kick boards - will do when I scrub the floor.
    Level Three
    HHI

Tuesday Living Room, Hall and Stairs

    Level 1

    Vacuum sofas
    Level 3
    Vacuum under furniture

Wonderful Wednesdays - Master Bedroom & Landing

    Level 3
Vacuum floors in bedroom and on landing

Thursday Bathroom and Study/Pc Area :j

Freaky Friday - Frightening Kids Rooms
    Level Two
Vacuum floors (even if it's around the rest of the junk)

I better go and get some jobs done.

Well my cold now includes laryngitis..!again!!! So of course the phone calls start.. Beginning with sts to tell me they want me to make an appointment but can't book one so I have to ring at 8am on Monday.. I suggested just posting me a prescription but she could hear properly so I just wheezed yeah yeah if you like and hung up! I can't ring at 8am so I'm not going.. It's a waste of time.. They know I have a UTI, I know I have a UTI, they also know what germ it is and what to treat it with so why do I need an appointment when there are ill people who need them?

I've vacuumed through, done dailies downstairs and put the throws in the WM, so I'm going to make my shower a hot bath instead since I have plenty of time. The ironing is waiting until tomorrow when all the laundry is done just in case I do end up going out this afternoon.

Going to leave my laptop defragging itself as its a while since I did it. Maybe then it'll run a little faster!
