Lavender hearts under construction.. 3 done! .. loads more to get through.. I decided sewing them all first, then stuffing is the quickest way.

OH has just applied to train as a personal trainer.. in addition to doing the joinery.. both are part time.. the personal trainer thing though is at least a paid position.. fingers crossed he gets that one because its a lot of money otherwise!

Does anyone shop at A*di? I was thinking of giving it a go but have no idea what to expect. Just want to try to cut my food shopping bill a bit.
I use A*di for a lot of basics. I buy my F&V at the local market, and cheese and eggs from the farmers market, but I like A*di for tinned goods, sliced bread (we keep some in the freezer for emergencies), milk, butter, crackers, fruit juice (apart from grapefruit which our branch don't do), pasta, porage oats, bran flakes, frozen veg, baking supplies, loo roll, toiletries, washing up liquid. Our branch have also recently started stocking some Qu0rn products.

What I can't get there includes: veggie gravy granules, veggie suet, custard powder, coffee beans, loose leaf tea, drinking chocolate (they do the sort you make with water but not the sort you make with milk).

They also do very good own-brand dog food - it's called £arls if memory serves. I had to buy some for Mary because she didn't bring enough food with her, and it looked to be very good quality, and Mary certainly relished it!

LW, you said that that woman inflicted pain on you. I hope you screamed at her! Did she actually (wo)manhandle you? If so, it would probably constitute assault and you have a right to complain.
No she didn't actually manhandle me - she wanted to do so, it started off that she wanted me to squeeze her fingers, and I hesitated and she said crossly "come on, I won't hurt you" so I said (truthfully) that I have a phobia of being touched by strangers. (She clearly didn't like that, and probably thought me a right wimp). But she made me sit on an ordinary chair, which hurt my coccyx, and try and twist my hips sort of sideways, which kicked off my back pain. I was too terrified to refuse to at least attempt to comply.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

She sounds like a right bully

Hope you checked that she was qualified and made a note of her name. If you get any further pain I would go to the quack's and say you're in pain and what started it off - at least then you'll be able to make a complaint if you want to ((hugs))

I think if you're already in pain LW you should go to the GP (I know this is another stress for you, but you really should) so that if there is any query in the future then there is a clear record of what happened.

Why on earth did she make you sit on a normal chair? Surely anyone dealing with such assessments should take into account adjustments already put in place to support the client's needs. I do think you should also check out the complaints process - check the disability boards for advice (if Piggers hasn't already found out what it is.... maybe she can do your complaining for you too ;))

Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Photogenic I've been Money Tipped!
Bathroom has been demoulded, and I've been pottering around in the livingroom for the rest of the day as the smell was so bad upstairs. So I've been decluttering stuff and generally tidying up in drawers, on shelves etc which I don't usually do. Most of the laundry is done but as its been raining its all had to go through the drier. I've made some inserts for my planner to track various budgets on, filled them in with this months info and put them in my little planner and binned all the different sticky notes I had the info on.

DD is going to do her homework then we'll have tea and wrestle the cover back on the sofa. I'm going to attempt to tidy up the destruction caused by giving Zack empty boxes. He loves ripping them to shreds. I may have to vacuum downstairs again :o

    Evening all.

I second the advice that you should visit your GP now, LW, to record the fact that you were caused considerable pain by the insistence of the assessor that you should sit on a hard chair. I hate bullies!

I have managed to buy the spray and paint that I needed for the ensuite, fill the hole, and give the water stain two coats of the spray. I might have time to finish the painting tomorrow - but if not, it will have to be done on Saturday morning. We're out at a meeting this evening.

Apart from that, I have tidied the study bedroom, cooked two meals and read 5 pages of my book :o It has been horribly dark all day...

    Hi all,

    I'm waaaay behind :(
A bit "time poor" this week. Paid stuff is just nuts. Finished my homework today though, except printing off two journal pages. Barely had time to think, although did manage time for a :coffee: with my mother earlier.

Laundry is piling up, dust is weaving itself into long strings of bunny ears, and we are generally grubby. Had to treat us all as I think DD may have had threadworm  poor little moo. Hence the laundry - beds changed but need to get all bedding and towels on hot washes tomorrow and give everywhere upstairs a thorough clean.

I've about a thousand things on my to-do list ranging from party-planning to teeth extraction to car going in garage to meetings with social workers (not for us!).

Also growled at school this morning. Walking through the gates we were told in a rather cheery voice "children going straight in this morning, it's very icy". Lovely, thinks I. But not the little reception kids? So we are stood outside, the smallest ones freezing their bits off, and I can see other parents leaving school as their kids are already in. So we take DS round the other side, sure enough, they are all in class. In he goes. So KS1 and above don't need to stand out in the ice on a morning, just the babies
I told the office it was bl00dy ridiculous, and the TA too - said she should have opened the doors, even if they didn't hear the tannoy, they all arrived to school in a hard frost, they all knew how cold it was. Gah. There is no sense sometimes...
    /rant
    :p

Right - I better sort my huuuuggge list for tomorrow - although I need a few party bits from the pound shop which I'll visit first.

LW I'm raging on your behalf! How dare she? Gah.

    Away with the fairies
