LW - so sorry to hear it was such a nasty experience yesterday, massive hugs to you.
Jazee - sending OldDog healing vibes.
Not going to post my list again, but a 30 thing fling has happened in my bedroom. Mostly half used tubes of stuff I've not used in months or make-up that didn't like me.My drawers are now all tidy, and the charity pile has been juggled so it's no longer trying to take over one side of the bedroom. Think I'll get a bus pass on Monday when DD is off and she can help me transport the entire pile down to the shop
Downstairs has been vacuumed through and DD is putting her bedroom back together.
I'm not doing anything else tonight except 2 loads of laundry one of which is already in and nearly done. We're going to eat and I'm getting my knitting out while I watch something and wait for the laundry to be done. I'm too tired to do any more cleaning today. I'll be back later to grab tomorrows list. :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Aw LW sorry it was rubbish, these people should take a walk in your shoes. Makes me so mad.
Yorkshiredog sends healing woofs to Whizz and Olddog. Yorkshiredog is chewing his paws relentlessly. The (expensive) meds he is on are supposed to stop this. Ah well back to the vets on Friday.
I have just managed to tidy our bedroom a bit and change our sheets today. Thankfully tomorrow will be quieter so I will catch up a bit.0 -
Hugs LW, sorry to read you had such a horrible person.
Hugs to all who need themSPC~12 ot 124

Busy day today; had a stressful time at Eye Hospital as they said I needed to be at another hospital! I disputed it but no, they said I was at the wrong place. Couldn't possibly get to other place in 2 minutes (multiple bus journeys and not allowed to drive due to drops they'd be using) so decided to go back home and call. Checked texts and sure enough had text from hospital confirming yes, I had to be in Eye Hospital (where I had turned up to 15 mins before) so got off the bus at the next stop and had to walk past a really high building (I'm scared of high buildings; another of my phobias). So back into Eye Hospital, told the receptionist and sure enough I was right - I was due for an appointment there. So glad I checked. Was waiting ages and my legs were trembling from walking past the high building without holding anyone's hand but good news is no glaucoma.
For those who asked Whiz is OK thank you; not so lame on the leg but still taking it easy so I've cancelled the Agility session I had booked for us tomorrow.
Does anyone shop at A*di? I was thinking of giving it a go but have no idea what to expect. Just want to try to cut my food shopping bill a bit.
Flying wise I've hung up the washing, made the bed (sort of) - that's it really! Will do better tomorrow.
LameWolf I am so sorry you had such a wretched time yesterday; that person sounds just plain awful. I was thinking of you all day. Throwing a huge big stick for that BD to go after.Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -
Get well paw thoughts for OldDog. Glad the fridge made you laugh Jazee Laughter was NOT what was coming out of my mouth I can tell you. Need to work out whether its worth insurance - the vinyl will cost next to nothing, its the installation thats the problem.
My DIY is improving (I cleaned out a blocked U-Bend last week - although it doesn't seem to have improved the draining), but flooring is beyond me and DH doesn't have time. (After a 2year research degree he had 2 years to write it up. He now has until November and he hasn't started because work has been too busy. NHS  Junior Doctor!
Flying wise. I scrubbed out a cupboard. No breakages. Now going to prep food for tomorrow and clear up before a bath and bed. How much can I break? Guesses on a postcard please.:rotfl:Goals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o0 -

Catching up on things and frankly I think the lovely ladies on here have been through enough
Lamewolf - your assessor sounds shocking and I definitely think you should complain. These people need to understand how difficult interviews can be for some people. Outrageous!
Mumof2 - cross for you too. Silly mix-ups can be extremely stressful and I can't quite see how they got your info confused. Hope your jelly legs are better now x
Jazee - sending cuddles for Old Dog, poor girl. What rotten luck
And to anyone else having a bad time - BIG HUGS
I've had another busy day. Had to call the caravan people out as my cooker spontaneously combusted, throwing flames out of the dials  Turns out the regulator had frozen open and broke when I tried to use it and ignited at the exit point. The flames have melted the ignition button, so they had to disconnect all electrics and I've got to use a "clacker" to light the gas. As if the caravan isn't carp enough!
Whilst they were here, my surveyor arrived to inspect holes I'd got the builders to dig yesterday to show how far our foundations go down and investigate a continuously wet area of flooring. Good news on both points - foundations are much deeper than expected on a 16th Century timber house and the wet floor is a result of a blocked and collapsed ancient drain channel running under the house to the well outside our back door, which looks to have been damaged in the flood. Cue very strong argument for whole floor replacement with a special limecrete screed. Yay :T:j:T
Still waiting for my replacement steam generator iron as I killed mine on Thursday and the supplier said they will replace FOC. DH has one work shirt left...all others are waiting to be pressed. Please let it arrive tomorrow! I'm missing my ironing fix :rotfl:
Epic post...sorry :embarasse0 -

OK. This is now getting beyond a joke.
Switch on lights in study (converted garage) to finish up on computer. Bulb blows. Sockets go as well. Fine. Fuse box - reset fuse. Hear ansaphone come back on. Return to study. Sockets back on. No lights. I cannot have blown six bulbs! Nothing more I can do tonight. I can't see anything, and I'm not getting up on a ladder to change all the recessed downlighters tonight. Going to be a major problem tomorrow morning though. Will have to move through to dining room as I need to be out of the house by 0740 and it will still be dark.
DH just phoned (shift finished 2200) 'I'm going back into surgery, don't expect me home.' So once again no sleep - he's got a 0900 conference call tomorrow (when he's off!) before starting a 1300 to 2200 shift. Then 0800 to 2100 on Friday. Think I'll be going up a ladder on my own then.
Right. Off to bed before I can do any more damage.
Sorry about the moaning today. Will do better tomorrow. Throws another stick for LW BD.Goals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o0 -
Does anyone shop at A*di? I was thinking of giving it a go but have no idea what to expect. Just want to try to cut my food shopping bill a bit.
I do most of my shopping there, I find it really good quality and much cheaper than Tesc0 which is where I top up on anything they don't have. I guess like anyone else's opinion, it depends what you buy. I find their packs of frozen chicken breasts consistently yummy, another favourite is packs of frozen basa which is a fish I'd never heard of before I went there. I like the fact that a lot of their meat and veg are British. Have a look on their web site for prices, they do specials on a Thurs and a Sun. I've also had all sorts of miscellaneous household and sports goods - you can never predict whether it will be the week for fishing gear, gym gear etc (well not unless you check the web site) but I got a lovely quality motor bike suit last year very cheap, and I've got yoga leggings etc. Worth you having a look anyway. It comes out high when they do these 'mystery' taste tests usually.
I haven't flown today; was doing reports this am then at uni working then more report. Had a break for a bit of TV then my friend rang for ages so that's me done now.
Hugs to lots of you; rudeness is so unnecessary LW so that woman should be ashamed of herself.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0
