Tried a tin of broccoli and Stilton soup from Lidl today. It was lovely, so will definitely be buying again.

Just had the Cucina stone baked thin & crispy pizzas in the Margherita and BBQ Chicken recipes. Voted excellent by the family and would certainly buy them again. I don't know if these are new or specials as they were in different packaging to the usual Carlos Pizzas made by Cucina for Aldi but will certainly look for them next time I'm shopping there. :)

No they're not new, I've bought them several times over the past few months. One of the very few shop bought pizzas I actually enjoy.

Lidl's finally cracking up. All melons soft, a split melon had drenched all melons, sticky juice all over the floor. There we a few good ones but too sticky to touch.

When I mentioned it one of the shelf stacking staff she just stared at me in silence.

The back of Lidl receipts are plastered with a request to go to Lidl's feedback site which I did. Where I'm greeted with 'This Survey is Now Closed'.

Seems that like Aldi, Lidl also 'can't get the staff'.

You can't judge an entire company based on an incident in one particular store! :rotfl:

That's like me saying Asda must be going down the spout because the only limes they had left for sale yesterday in my local store were puny and wrinkled! :rotfl:

And I'm not sure why you think Aldi can't get the staff. I've never seen a shortage of staff in any of the stores I've recently visited. In fact one store I know of even has a waiting list of people wanting to work there!

What you have described is far from ideal but I also sense that you are looking to find fault. Lidl and Aldi staff I find are consistently hard working and friendly!

If you are that troubled, you can always email Lidl to report your concerns. A lack of a structured survey should be no barrier to important feedback.

Same here. I find there are always plenty of obliging staff about to ask if I need help which is more than I can say for recent experiences in M&S, John Lewis and Santander.

If you're that unhappy with Lidl and Aldi buglawton then you could always vote with your feet. I doubt you'd be missed, they're hardly short of customers and there was plenty of room in Sainsbury's last time I was there and not a leaky melon in sight.

Exactly, had to put the feedback here as Lidl (very rare for retail) does not wish to collect feedback online on their own site.
And I'm quite right to post here the bad along with the good on Lidl. Most MSE feedback on Lidl is good and let's hope that on balance it stays that way.
