I recommend Aldipoos Salto'n'Shakee crisps - put on as much or as little salto as you like.

I absolutely adore Aldi 28 day sirloin steaks. Literally melt in the mouth!

Not tried anything from Lidl yet as they're even further away than my nearest Aldi stores. Although I've recently discovered there's a new Aldi store opened in the same town as Lidl so I might take a trip over there for my next big shop so I can visit both Aldi and Lidl :D

The Morello cherry sparkling fruit crush from Lidl is lovely, and only 49p for 1L.

The "Mature Cheese Salad" from Lidl is excellent. Extremely rich, but delicious, and very more-ish. It's a mayo-based salad with pasta, grated cheese, red peppers and maybe some other veg.

Quick question: why have some posters taken to the spelling "Aldee"? Am I missing something?

A poster after my own heart. I would thank you hundreds of times over if I could!!:T

I find it incredibly naff and childish. I can't believe that in RL people actually say I'm off to Sainsbobs or Morries or Mr T.

I've heard the argument that the correct spelling can be picked up in Google searches but if I make a comment on a forum (good or bad) then I want the shop concerned to pick it up.

I must admit I'm totally mystified why anybody would want to prevent a comment appearing in a Google search.

It goes back to the early days of the forum when people where reporting price & promotion glitches , and they believed that the supermarkets where regularly reading the forums and using these glitch reports to fix their pricing.
Thus if people used stupid names for the supermarkets they believed the price faults would last a little longer. Total nonsense of course.

If it helps keep the thread on topic, and friendly, i'll stop being "silly and childish", and refer to the shops by their proper names. Can't vouch for anyone else on the forum though, as a lot do it :D
    Problem solved ;)
