We discussed a while ago the disappearance of the small tins of Flavoured Tuna from Aldi.

Looks like they are coming back because I saw a couple of cases hanging around in store today. Not sure where they will be stacked or what price. Slightly different packaging, too.

Organic eggs were seen in stock again at Aldi Basingstoke Road Reading recently. So rare at this location I'm surprised that rare egg hunters hadn't stolen them.

In my Aldi yesterday they had a few tine of flavoured tuna. Soy & Ginger and lemon and thyme. 85p a tin. Not sure whether there are other flavours available

Mister Choc Caramellos from Lidl are a Rolo rip-off but taste good and will be a weekly treat for me @85p for a 126g bag :)

We drink a lot of decaf tea. If funds are high we buy Dorset tea (or on special occasions Clipper). Otherwise Waitrose because it tastes good

I bought some Lidl the other day and wish I hadn't. It was weak and tasteless, a complete waste of money. It ended up in the bin :(

Some things you get what you pay for

These Asda own-brand tea bags are nicest i've tried, better than Typhoo, Yorkshire Tea, Tetleys; in my view. £1.40 for 160 bags too, and inside the contents are foil wrapped in 4 sections so the tea stays in good condition.

I hope they are significantly better than the real thing ......

    ... since a 208g (4 x 52g roll/tube) ROLO multi-pack is normally only £1 in Sainsburys

as it is quite frequently elsewhere - eg. currently also at Morrisons for just £1

I use the Asda ones too and agree they are really nice. The Aldi ones in similar packaging used to be about the same but the last lot I bought from Aldi were so weak I needed to use 2 for each cup so I went back to Asda"s

I'm looking forward to trying them. The outer (12X160) I bought from Lidl a couple of years ago when on 1/2 price weekend offer is down to the last month's supply so the recommendation has come at the right time :)
