I've noticed staff do this in Sainsbury's. It's plain unhygienic, not to mention dangerous.

My friend who works for Sainsbury's says staff should use kick stools or the fold down stool on a flat bed trolley

I struggle to believe that Sainsbury's wouldn't make such provision.

Mind you, nothing beats the chap in Tesco bakery who scratches his a*se as he stacks fresh rolls. I kid you not.

I had the new Corn Wraps from Aldi this week, and they are very nice. Soft, but thin, so don't stand up to too much rough wrapping, but other than that make a nice change.

I wonder if you can make tortilla chips with them? :)

I`m sure he would let you have a turn if you asked nicely(customer service and all that) ;)

My local Morrisons has a nose scratcher/digger on the cake aisle

Aldi and Lidl near me leave that kind of behaviour to the customer.

My local Aldi have yogurts on the top shelf of the chilled section, they are mixed variety trays I am 5 foot 6 and I can only just reach them. to find the flavour I want is impossible, there are only 2 facings and even I can only reach the front row. there is no way I could get to the back to sort them out.

I mentioned to the store manager, who happened to be walking past as I tried to get some yoghurt from the top shelf, that they were placed far too high. He said ‘I don’t agree!’ and handed one to me and walked off. I did contemplate seeing what would happen if I brought the whole lot down but decided being covered in yoghurt wasn’t worth finding out.
This was some time ago, but have been reminded of it by these comments.

    I visited Aldi today:.
. They put the tins far too high on the top shelf. I am 5ft 8.5 and I had to stand on tip toes to get to the tins on the top case. As for the shorter customers, they take tins about halfway on the stack. Which leads to...
. Having to duck to avoid a case of beans fall on me due to another customer picked a tin of beans half way down then walked away. This made the stack unstable
. Still same issues of mixed pallet boards of mixer drinks and flavoured waters. One day there will be a customer injured by the pallet falling onto them

Then as I was packing on the shelf, a guy walked down the checkouts and left the store yo his car at the far end of the large car park. He nicked loads of beef and lamb into an Aldi shopper bag. Then about 8 members of staff coming from nowhere followed him to his car and he wasn't in a rush as he put the bag into the boot. Four of the staff blocked him in the parking bay to prevent him going off. The managers were at the front at the car asking him to open the boot and either hand over the meat or go back into the store to pay. He got out of his car, took out the bag from the boot and throw the bag at one of the staff at the back of the car. He then shouted some obscene language and was able to leave. I'm not too sure if that is the right way to deal with this customer.

No point calling the police. We have caught shoplifters at work, but unless you have footage of them actually stealing the item, the CPS won't want to know.

Bought some of the speciality tomatoes when they were yellow stickered. Lovely and sweet but not sure I'd pay the original price of £1.20 ish.

But the store manager can ban them from the site.

Aldi kiwis seem to last a long time in the fruit bowl without decomposing - perhaps that's down to the cold weather?

I gave up on Aldi kiwis many years ago. They just never seemed to ripen.

OH just had a tin of Aldi Soupreme chunky beef & vegetable soup and said it was very nice.
At 57p per tin, it's cheaper than Tesco (75p)
