Never had much luck with gadgets from Aldi in the past, but the car DAB radio adapter that's been on sale for a week in-store only, turned out to be a high quality bargain. It also plays your phone music via Bluetooth. Fitting the aerial properly however, will only suit car DIYers happy with removing and refitting interior trim while minding the airbags.

Lidl's Nespresso compatible coffee pods have changed, much reduced packaging which is good and the pods now have a sort of foil front and back,my Magimix machine likes them much better a much more efficient flow through the pod happy with these.

My nearest Lidl only had Ristretto and Espresso pods, but the Espresso gets the thumbs up from me. I like the cute little cube box too.
I had no flow problems, and a lovely crema, a really good coffee, and the same price as Aldi.
Aldi have a far better selection and free mail order for almost all their range, but it's good to know that if I forget to get some there, I can get very good pods without paying stupid prices elsewhere.

In the past this product has been listed as a half price weekend offer, at 99p. Even better when served with chilled single cream / a scoop of vanilla ice-cream :)

With its constant outpouring of malice, bile and poison, reading the Daily Mail probably gives you cancer.

As for the puddings - thanks for the reminder. Found a couple hidden in the freezer!

Quite a few prices are creeping up in Lidl and Aldi.
Lidl branded offers are often dearer than the BIG 4 branded offers.
Bertolli for example can often be found for around £1, 95p in Waitrose when on offer, but £1.19 in Lidl.

I wish Lidl would put their Deluxe range more on their weekend offers, even replace the weekly wine offer with a Deluxe one!
I don't shop in Lidl as much since they changed the weekend offers.

Lidl and Aldi have never been competitive on branded items. It's not what they do.

(In fact, I've always thought that they possibly keep slightly higher prices on branded goods in order to provide a level of subsidy to the own brand items).

I buy a packet of cheap ham from Aldi most weeks. That's the range with 13 slices (smoked, cooked, breaded and honey roast IIRC). Although there are still 13 slices, I'm sure that the 'circles'/slices are smaller than they used to be.:(
