I tried something called 'Foodie Market - Paleo Wholefood Bars - Cashew Crush'. Now I should point out that I have no idea what 'paleo' is, but they were not at all what I was expecting. They were obscenely sweet, and if you didn't already know, you wouldn't be able to tell that they contained nuts, let alone that they were cashews! Personally, I won't be buying again.

Happygreen wrote: »Paleo means no grains or added sugar, so no oats or fructose glucose syrup. The sweetness is from the 49 % Dates, which is a bit excessive, I agree but it makes it stick together. The Cashew "crush" in the name is a bit misleading, but the other 51 % of ingredients is raw cashews.Stompa0

I've been buying the Aldi Mediterranean Style Falafel. They are softer than some falafel, but quite nice. I found the 'Moroccan(?) Style' Falafel a bit sweet for me.
Yesterday I found some 'Sweet Potato Pakora' in a similar shaped container, but a light orange colour instead of red or purple. They are even softer than the Falafel, but IMHO really nice. I'm going to be buying more.
Lidl 'Neo' Oreo-a-likes are quite nice. They seem to taste the same as real Oreos. The amount of cream in the middle seems a bit stingy however.0 -

Oh, I do apologise. What is it you want to know about products?
I can thoroughly recommend the pop up utility tent from Aldi, it's great quality and identical to one I bought I bought from Decathlon for more than twice the price.
Also the interlocking floor mats. Excellent to use as floor covering in playrooms or equally as tent flooring when camping.0 -
I bought a pack of Aldi Foodie Market bars, think it was supposed to be muesli and seeds. It was awful, like compressed brown sludge. Had a smell that reminded me of hay. Into the bin sadly. Others may love them of course...0

My oldest dd eats the raw bars they've been available for months, if you look at the cereal bit they have them in boxes. A lot cheaper.
Someone mentioned thai fishcakes, they have them as a special buy in lidl, fresh in 2 but there big. I think they were originally aldi frozen, they were looking for. My local lidl has been done up and is as messy as ever, boxes everywhere, the place is a mess.0 -
My last cal Aldi closes today for 11 months while they demolish and rebuild

Is that the Tunstall store? I read it will be the biggest in the UK when it reopens. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I presumed Aldi stores were essentially the same layout and size bar a few smaller older stores.
Our store consists of four aisles and 8 tills but when they extended it, the extra room was used for special buys and not expanding product range that much.0 -
