For me it has to be cheese.
I can't stand value cheese.0 -
i have quite a few. ham can't stand value , washing up liquid , egg's( used to always buy value as do loads of baking, but can't get the thought of the chickens in little cages out my head, so i buy 18 free range for £2.29 which i think good price) , bread has to be hovis thick , any meat( would rather no meat than value) mince has to be lean steak mince, sausages prefer from the butcher , tea bags have to be tesco premuim ( can't stand any other), fabric conditioner only really buy lenor and toliet rolls i like andrex or similar.
i'm getting more and more fussier in my old age i think. lol0 -
I've just realised after reading these posts that theres quite a few things I wont compromise on eg:
toilet rolls
kitchen rolls
decent tea bags
coffee
real coke (bacardi just doesnt taste right with cheapo stuff)
fairy liquid
good meat sausages
proper breakfast cereals ( no own brands )
theres probably more than those but I cant think at min!0 -
i love coke but have found that costcutters own brand cans of coca cola at 33p each make a half decent replacement.
i gotta have decent coffee, tea and loo roll oh and cannot stand cheap tomato sauce gotta be heinz, daddys or iceland own brand (tastes the same for 99p a big bottle).LBM-29/08/07

fair trade stuff like tea0 -
Decent columbian filter coffee ,unsalted butter . warburtons seeded batch. and mature cheddar, oh and herbal essences shampoo and conditioner, oh and sensodyne toothpaste and expensive moisturiser and hand cream, I think I had better stop as the list is getting a bit long.Anyone who lives within their means suffers from a lack of imagination:beer:

Heinz beans - always try to get them cheap though.
Decent bread - always on offer.]
Butter - use to by anchor but thought about my carbon footprint and now buy Country Life (spreadable) which is just as good.
I always use asda's powder with softner and get a cheap fabric softner as well which makes everything soft and negates having to iron it!
Good Wine on offer!0 -
for those coke lovers try adsa's own. it is fab, we buy the diet stuff and for £1.46 for 4 x two litre bottles it is excellent value. i prefer this to diet coke and it satys fizzier longer.
we aren't brand loyal and always buy the best deal.
tesco value washing up liquid at approx 15p is ace
the only things we stick to are mature cheddar, hp brown sauce, asda diet coke, discovery enchilada sauce. married to the man of my dreams! 9-08-090 -
- Chicken Tonight fajita paste - I much prefer this to the dried fajita mixes you can get.
- Andrex quilted toilet tissue (always when on offer or with extra rolls free) - I find this lasts much longer (pardon the detail, but we find we don't need to use as much each time)
- Sausages - usually Tesco Finest/Sainsburys TTD ones - I like all the different flavours like pork chilli and coriander, and pork and apple - always buy them on offer though! Also like Paul Rankin's sausages (again I stock up when on offer) - ideal for sausage and pea risotto and sausage and leek hash
Things like toothpaste, washing up liquid, washing liquid etc we're not brand loyal to - we just buy what's on offer (had an allergic reaction to the Tesco value washing up liquid once so reluctant to try again) Thinking about it, most of the branded stuff I buy I get when it is on offer (buy 1 get 1 free, half price, 3 for 2 etc).DFW no.554 - Proud to be dealing with my debts :TDAVID TENNANT CAN PROBE ME WITH HIS SONIC SCREWDRIVER ANYTIME...:AFLYING THE FLAG FOR THE CAMBRIDGE BOOTS TARTS :happyhear0 -
