I also never buy cheap meat, only buy free range eggs and fairtrade coffee. But I rarely buy fruit and veg in supermarkets, never ripe, limited range and twice the price of local market. DH came home yesterday with 2 kilos of damsons for £1 - have never seen damsons in a supermarket.
I loathe cheap perfume, so use the deodorant spray from Sisley's Eau de Soir, the genuine pong for one third the price.:jAll Art is the transfiguration of the commonplace

I must have Cravendale milk, it last twice as long as everything else so I reckon that i cut down on waste cos I dont throw it away as much. I am also partial to M&S strawberry scones = Amazing! Actually come to think about it the list of things that I do shell out for is embarassing! i must try harder to be OS!There are many things in life that will catch your eye, only a few will catch your heart. Pursue those.0

I can live with cheap loo roll. But like nouvelle when its got extra free or a 9 pack for £2 or on offer.I have 4 kids worse than andrex puppies!
Aldi own chocci is as nice as galaxy.
Have used cheap washing powder but only with a nice fabric softener.I do like fairy though but only if its on offer and I have vouchers rofl!
Dont really do cheapo washing up liquid as I find it false economy.I normally buy a decentish one on offer lol!
I'm not very brand loyal!
I wont buy economy mince or fish fingers unless they are fillet.Lidls are nice.I dont like value meat.I think of the poor animal.Dont like anything fatty or gristle so I'm very fussy buying meat. Not often we have it unless its on offer.0 -
Thus far I agree with: yorkshire tea, heinz baked beans, proper cola, good meat, cheese and eggs. In addition, I can't bear cheap kitchen roll or toilet paper - they both just disintegrate in your hands and you end up using far more than a more expensive brand. I also always buy fairy to wash my dishes - it really does last for ages and I've found it to be the most effective cleaner.BCSC Member 70:j

Lots of people have mentioned ham. There was a thread on here about sliced ham v buying a joint. I think thriftlady started it, but I can't find it now. (Squeaky will probably post it within about 5 seconds;).)
I've just bought a Value gammon joint to use for sandwiches it was £3.14 per kilo - much cheaper than overpriced ready sliced stuff:D.I have plenty of willpower - it's won't power I need.

Greek yoghurt.
I'm not brand loyal, and always buy whichever's cheapest, but I love proper Greek yoghurt on my breakfast in the mornings...
I always used to buy "Total 0%" because it is by far the best, however I've now started buying Asda's own which is half the price but not the same at all :-(Mortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0 -
I can't eat cheap meat, would rather eat veggie several times a week and have meat or fish 3 times a week.
Also have tried other baked beans have come back to heinz, same with ketchup.
