Dry and a little sunny today
Drudgery
Washed up X1
Drying up and packing away
Found phone charger
Clothes wash done and hung out to dry
Hoovered bedroom
Decluttering is hard…It is unfashionable to say so in these Kondo-ed times but I actually like stuff. I do.
I have a collection of coloured glass for sherry or liqueurs. The colours are lovely but in reality I would offer guests larger glasses and I enjoy drinking from larger glasses too. So what am I keeping them for? I could use them as tea-light holders, but no, they are merely very pretty dust traps. OUT THEY GO!
Recycled
Pillowcases that were joyless into cleaning cloths
My god son’s birthday today so off to friend’s house this afternoon.
Happy Sunday reader

A gloomy day weather-wise
Lovely spending time with my godson and friend yesterday. Staying in today as feeling tired. Slept in late.
Decided to not to send vintage coloured glass to the charity shop. MnS have half price port in a lovely decanter for £8. Going to create a gift box of the port and 2 coloured vintage glasses for 2 friends. I might buy some Bendicks after dinner mints and add a few in each box too.
Yesterday I steam cleaned my kitchen floor. IT WAS FILTHY
Steam cleaned my kitchen door (all my doors are unpainted wood)
Still loving the steam cleaner. Today, I’m going to clean upstairs loo door
Puttanesca sauce made and delicious
Coconut quinoa and millet with adzuki beans made and also delicious
Going to get my bullet journal out and do some planning for the next few weeks as the time will go quickly as less than 2 weeks to Christmas day
I’m beginning to think I might be able to decorate the spare bedroom myself…I’ve looked at it and although it’s a big room, I think I could do it bit by bit, one wall at a time. Because of issues with my family Christmas is difficult so I might use the stress energy to do something positive (as sam/moneyonmymind reminded me of recently on her diary) I might start with the ceiling as it just needs wiping down and repainting and I have the paint…watch this space
Hope your week got off to a good start

Great idea for the glasses DIA, I love gifts like that.
I hope all goes well with the decorating, you will do great.

I called my phone and internet provider. I negotiated a new deal that saves me £72 over the year. I have diarised (using my bullet journal) when the 12 months is up when I will again phone for a new deal. :money:
I have increased my debt repayment by £9. As I save £6 a month from the new phone/internet deal this is actually only an additional £3 a month that is an amount I will not even notice.
Another option is to start doing Tillies Tidies and putting extra money towards the debt whenever I have it. That would decrease my interest too, but do you think the bank will ask me for a new financial income and expenditure statement if I do this?
I decluttered old make-up, toxic cleaners, an old mop, a small bucket, a framed photograph and a silver-plated tray. :T
I got some outside drying done. I have lunch for tomorrow at work. My dining table is cleared of all the usual rubbish
My crazy eating is under control thanks to restricting the times I eat and allowing my body to fast evening, overnight and up to midday.
Happy hump day

Well done on saving all that money DIA. Even better that you're organised enough to diarise it.
I think it's likely that the bank will ask for a new report if you start paying more off. Maybe it's worth going onto one of the diaries on here to see what others are doing? The thing is, they can ask for a new financial report but if nothing has changed then can they do much? I have no idea though so this is all just opinion.

Thanks MT. You are right. Even if they ask me to provide an income and expenditure sheet again all they will see is a bleeping miracle. So I am going to increase my existing payments, but not do random payments
Good news.
I have halved my travel budget by gaining an extra full WFH week, taking buses and walking more. So I’m saving £50 a month.
I’m increasing my debt repayment by £100. :T I’m going to adapt by going back to my YS strategy for food shopping. I’m good at this, but it takes more time. Hey ho. Yesterday I got some pate from a posh M&S in the city. £6.25 reduced to £1.50 and in a lovely mason jar. :money:
So today I paid £1,050 off my debt. Of course it is hard but I can survive another year (with lots of moaning) but I don’t think I can continue like this beyond a year. There is just me, there are no parents to cushion the blow, or partner to bring in treats or a little extra cash and elderly relatives have nothing to leave me even if they did pass away. I can’t win the lottery as I don’t do it. I still consider myself one of the lucky ones as I am MF and in good health. So this is the reality and it’s hard. I just have to hope for a year where there are no expensive disasters…
So, my new debt is now £14,327 and this is the debt I take into 2017 :T:T:T
I am feeling positiveand I hope you are too
