I have my online shop here now. I have my Lid1 shop so meal planning wise I want to eat less meat, so I hardly have any. My problem is my YS bargains are often meat. I’m going to be strong and ignore the fab bargains and only buy reduced free range or organic chicken. I have some organic mince and bacon (reduced) and I have divided both into quarters and frozen. I won’t buy any more red meat this month. I won’t. I am going back to a monthly organic veggie delivery with chicken carcasses. The stock makes a brilliant addition to all my meals and the veggie bundle is cheap. So, £15 a month budget for this.

I’m keen to eat more ‘above ground’ veggies this month and beginning with a mushroom, courgette and red pepper chilli on quinoa with yogurt, lime and green chillies. In fact a veggie chilli will be a weekly event from now on, hopefully using Lid1/Super 6 offers.

A menu plan to follow soon

I’m keen to ensure I use my extra income wisely. My debt repayments increase from August and I am beginning a HOUSE RENOVATION fund and an EMERGENCY fund too. I will include those 2 funds in my signature.

A quiet calm day here. Just the way I like it :D
I hope you had a good day :)

Hi beanielou, because I won't be paying a mortgage anymore I will be increasing the amount I pay to my debt. I'll be paying £800 a month from August. I calculated this increase for my debt free in July 2018 target.

I'm so glad you can now balance debt repayment with savings. That's a really big thing to be able to do and I want to congratulate you at being at this juncture!

    Thanks guys :)
Yes, I totally agree about the savings.

I currently have no savings or any insurance policies:eek: and they are things that are essential, so I'm looking forward to having both and feeling more secure :)

I read somewhere of the importance of having a margin (in finances and life generally) with a margin you can begin to make steps forward, there is something to fall back on, something to cushion you. Your plan isn't thrown off when an appliance breaks or the water pipe upstairs breaks

My plan is to build my emergency funds over the next 24 months and also get the house in a condition ready for a lodger or ready to sell and the next place will accommodate a P/T lodger/student/Airbnb. At that stage I'll be DF and MF and I'll go more fancy with my savings plans :)

I'm looking for a plumber now to fix the upstairs pipe as I haven't had upstairs water since January

I'm looking for building insurance now too

    Have a good day reader
