I am tired today. I have been unable to sleep until very late for the past few nights, but I still wake at the same time…I will switch back to mainly decaf again, see if it helps. Anyway, I have been pushing through my tiredness whilst WFH :)

    House and cooking
Washing done and drying (2 loads)
    Dishes (x2)
    Stock made and in fridge
Soup made with first round of stock

    Financially fit in the future
:)Completed application for a training course that will increase my earning potential
:)Checked bank credits and there is a payment of £8 owed to me that I need to send a receipt off to get reimbursed. A bit of a faff but I will do it at work next week as £8 is £8 and I pay an extra £8 off debt or I can save it

    Self
:)I booked a pedicure in 2 weeks time (work pays once a year)
:)I forced myself out of the house after WFH and took my phone to a shop to fix my SIM card. :TSuccess! After months of procrastination I have a working phone and I am back in contact with the world (for good or for ill)

I’ve really pushed on my goals this week and it has paid off. Tomorrow I have to go to the health club and join up to complete my health and wellbeing goal. Will I do it after 6 months of saying I will? Let’s hope so…

I hope your weekend is going well :)

[STRIKE]My frog for next week is to open a credit union account. I have been talking about this year for a year. Time to do it! Saving in my own bank has not worked as I simply transfer it back and spend it. I need to create an emergency account and make it a little more difficult to access.[/STRIKE]

My f[STRIKE]inancially fit for the future task is to set a price for my private work.
    [/STRIKE]
My [STRIKE]investment in health and wellbeing task is to go to the health shop and obtain the best vitamin and mineral supplements to meet my health needs, then buy a pill box to organise taking them.
    [/STRIKE]
My treat of the week [STRIKE]will be an evening out with friends at a bar overlooking the river. I have budgeted £10 for this. I already paid £5 as a deposit to the organiser so £10 should be fine[/STRIKE]

My written correspondence of the week will be[STRIKE] cancelling a monthly subscription
    [/STRIKE]
    All done :j:j

I have joined the health club. :T:T
I got the best deal I could. I have free passes for five of my friends. I have the rest of the month free. Because of the charity I work for I got a corporate reduction so I have an anytime membership for just £4 more than day only. :D

It is expensive. Very. I couldn't really afford it but I can't afford not to. It isn't spending on a sofa or a holiday, it is an investment in my health and it cannot wait until after my debt free date. Funny thing is it is much less than the interest I was paying at the start of this journey and I never thought about that until my lightbulb moment :o

I am already feeling the benefit and I haven’t even begun. I picked up a gluten free YS treacle pudding and then put it back as it is mostly sugar and paying so much for a membership and eating nonsense is plain stoooopid (a word Dave Ramsey uses that I love when he says it)

I bought 2 tops on sale one 100% linen, the other cotton. £20 together instead of £50. :)

I spent £3.35 on YS food, a curry for 55p and mussels £1.25, sushi for 90p.

I have met all of my goals over the past 2 weeks. Some of those goals like a mobile and joining a gym had been outstanding for months and the credit union account for more than a year :o It has been hard, but it is nice to get results :)

I still need to take a step towards PPI but other than that all my goals have been met. I will post my new goals for the week tomorrow.

    Happy Sunday ;)

I was up at 6.30am and had a report for work completed by 8.30am. Lately I have been unable to sleep because my brain feels overactive. I have one more project to complete with a deadline of tomorrow. I wonder whether these outstanding projects are contributing to my inability to get to sleep?

I need to return 2 things today. They total £41 and I need the money, as down to my last £50 and almost 3 weeks to pay day, so going to do it, although I don’t really fancy going.

Now I have joined the health club I will need to get a weekly transport ticket so I don’t use the excuse of not being able to get there. I will buy it this morning. This means I will have to change to a less convenient route for work but that is okay

    GOALS for this week

    Financially fit in the future
Return items to 2 shops to get £41 back

    Frog of the week
Send PPI letter to bank regarding my mortgage.

    Treat of the week
Meeting a friend after work for a catch-up

Investment in health and well being goal
1 x swim and steam session
1 x 1 hour health tests and nutrition appointment

    Written correspondence of the week
Download a pay claim form, complete and send in.
Send off receipt and claim form for £8

Off to return an item at the shops and buy my weekly pass for travel

I wish you all a good and positive week :)

Its been great to read your updates DIA after I was away for a few days. I'm so glad you managed to smooth out the situation with the group of demanding time-consumers - i always see these situations like kids. If you don't give people any boundaries they'll just keep on and on with the selfish actions without even considering any impact to others. It's only when you point it out that they realise. I'm glad they have all been brought back to reality and you feel a weight lifted.

I'm so impressed with you meeting all of your goals! It must be really motivational to set yourself goals and ACTUALLY MEET THEM ALL. This is new territory for me :) I'll use it as inspiration for myself to get through my to-dos.

Hope you have a great week!

I worked from home today and afterwards I attended my health MOT at the gym. I felt anxious about it for most of the day but the results, although complete pants, held no real surprises. I used the shower after, and it was so nice to have a strong hot shower. :)

I stopped off to YS shop after the gym. I got a big bouquet of sunflowers reduced to £1 and a few other non essentials.:o I spent less than five pounds in total...

One of my new things will be prepping my meals out of the house on Sunday to Wednesday (6 meals) then Thursday to Saturday (6 meals) I am going to IK3A to buy 6 glass dishes with airtight lids. I will be taking seeded millet porridge in a flask to work.

Another thing I will be doing is setting my mobile to alarm every hour (during the day obvs) when I will get up drink a large glass of water and move.

My exercise plan commits me to exercising 4 days a week.

An unsettled day but I can cross one of my goals off the list so all is well. Tomorrow I chill in the evening as I am meeting a friend after work :)

I hope you had a good day reader

Today was crazy busy. Today’s breakfast is in the fridge at work and will do for tomorrow. i am eating my soup lunch as I write this. There was not time to eat today. This is bad news, must do better.:o

I was walking around with too many bags. I need a stylish rucksack as I am fed up with being bag lady with no free hands. I got wet through from the rain on the way home. My friend wanted to meet at a different location but I suggested we rearrange instead as I wanted to go home as I was stuck in a meeting all afternoon in an airless room. :(

I checked all my old mortgage original contracts (I kept them!) I checked and no PPI is outstanding. I’m glad I checked. Now I will move on to credit cards and loans but that is next week’s goal because I have enough goals for this week to contend with.

I completed and sent off my pay claim form to college. Right now I intend to blow this money on a wireless speaker, but I might change my mind, as it won’t pay until the start of September…

Off now to eat my £1 YS supper. I won’t drink wine as I told the health advisor at the gym that I only drink 2 units a week and I had 2 units on Sunday! It wasn’t a lie exactly. I thought if I said it to someone I would force it to be true. It seems to be working :D

Early night. I realise I have 6 hours sleep and I told the health advisor I have 7-8.

I hope you had a positive day :)

Thanks Uncanny Scot. Sometimes I think exercise has a more powerful effect on my mind and soul than my body!
