    A WFH day today :)

I tried to open the CU account in line with my financially fit in the future task, but I need to go there and show ID so I will be unable to do this until next Wednesday. I have booked a half day to do this.

I am able to have one free course at the college I teach at. So, I am going to gain an additional teaching qualification. I have applied and been accepted. :T It will take me an evening a week for a term and it would have cost £600. Once I have this I will be able to charge a slightly higher rate per hour at colleges. I start in Spring 2018. :)

I had my treat of the week yesterday. A gorgeous bar and restaurant overlooking the river. So rare for me!! I overspent by £7 but that was on a half share of flourless chocolate and a coffee. So worth it :)

    Meters read and called in.
    Dishes done
    Washing done

A NSD for me today after 2 days of spending :o

I am starting to see that just opening one door leads to others. So, looking for a second income led me to approach a college with a course idea. They said yes but also had a short term vacancy. I covered it and this led to a private course I am doing in the autumn. This allowed me to do a teaching course that I will use when I approach another college I have my eye on who require this qualification for all teachers. I have also met lots of new people. A few of them are extra lovely and I will stay in contact with them. All this from doing one new thing! ;)

    Happy hump day everyone

Thank you for the lovely encouraging comments :)
My debt is now £7,950. :T I am expecting some money from other job next week so I can make another payment soon too :)

I made a payment of £450 today. I did it quickly before I changed my mind. It is some pay from my extra job. So £1300 paid off debt in July! I got £525 but kept £75 for treating myself to a new top, new tights and I will reheel my boots :)

I hope everyone is well as we all head for the end of another week ;)

How did I do with my goals this week?

    Open a credit union account.
I attempted this but they need to see me in person, so I have an appointment for Wednesday

My financially fit for the future task is to [STRIKE]set a price for my private work[/STRIKE]. Done.

My investment in health and wellbeing task is to go to the health shop and obtain the best vitamin and mineral supplements to meet my health needs, then buy a pill box to organise taking them. Unsuccessful but progress made as health shop referred me to another health shop, so I will do this next Monday

My treat of the week [STRIKE]will be an evening out with friends at a bar overlooking the river. I have budgeted £10 for this. I already paid £5 as a deposit to the organiser so £10 should be fine. [/STRIKE]Done

[STRIKE]My written correspondence of the week will be cancelling a monthly subscription [/STRIKE]Done

On Sunday I will set new goals and add the old goals I was unable to complete :)

Have a good day everyone :)

What an amazing chunk to pay off in a month! A nice, round 1300!

It just goes to show what putting yourself out of your comfort zone can achieve - personally, professionally and financially!
    CC1: £4481.14/ £5031.14 (12% paid off, £600) | CC2:£3307/ £3807 (14.4% paid off, £550) | Loan: £10,528.20/ £15,792.30((33% paid off, £5,264))

July debt total: £24,630.44 | New debt total: £18,316.34 | Total debt paid: £6,414.10 (26%)

Thanks JoJo and Rosa for your positivity! :)

However, the high of the past few days is on its way down. Paying such a large amount to debt has highlighted what I could have done with this sizeable chunk had I not been in debt. I know, I know, forward not back, but it made me think…:(

Today I arrived at work without even a cup of coffee inside me. I purchased breakfast from T3sco and spent £9. Then £2.40 on whoopsied items at lunchtime and another £9.50 on the way home picking up whoopsies. So, £23 spent on food in one day. Hardly MSE .:o

The plan is to stay out of the shops until Wednesday when I will go to MnS in search of their eggs and whoopsied veggies and fruit. Thursday is the start of L1d1’s organics week. They also have a gluten free range on that date too Rosa :) so I will shop then too. Then hopefully not again for at least a week...

Tomorrow will be a NSD and I will plan my goals for the week.

I called the bank today and balanced my account. Cue lots of NSDs :o

I need to menu plan from now until Thursday. I’ll do that tonight and post the plan tomorrow

I hope you had a good day today reader

In a few months you will have that chunk to do with as you wish so don't get disheartened. You are amazing with what you have achieved. As Mr Ramsey says soon you will have no payments, not even a mortgage. You will be weird.:T
